Schofield Bowling Center 

No one knew what the day would bring as the tour began its new scheduled times for Schofield Bowling Center.  We did have a great turnout with 65 entries (54 members showed to bowl), that paid 13 places, handicaps ranging  from -1 to 54; paid out $4,394.00; low to cash was at 892; crowned a new Champion and paid $1,266.00 for 1st Place.  The day began slowly as our members were not used to starting an hour early, however we began with scores being posted on the low side and close to each other. 

At the end of the first squad, Sue Stephens posted the best score of 987 that put her right at the top of the leader board followed by member Dennis August at 971 and Chaz Castro, 955. 

The second squad had several of our members taking their shot at the leader board to no avail.  Sue Stephens score of 987 holds steady as Don Furuya, Matt Steria and Rodney Fujii climbs up the leader board.  

The third squad saw Kevin Asato firing on all cylinders to start the final squad only to split in the 8th frame of the final game.  Kevin Fukuda fought hard but "ran out of gas".  David Hancock was bowling consistently however he needed a big game to slip by Sue but just could not cut a break.  Then there was none!  Our "Hearts" go out to Kevin for his "SAD FACE", Oh!  LUB, LUB, LUB!  It was a demanding pattern however, Sue Stephens 987 held off all comers and wins her first title.  Congratulations Sue!  Sue thanks her teammate Al Melchor, her daughters Neka and Tamara for their support and the 9 Tap Tour Staff for putting on these events.  She says that the win could not have come at a better time as she is preparing to attend her Class Reunion back on the mainland.  Sue used a Storm bowling ball drilled by Roy Yamanuha at Game On Pro Shop for her win. 

Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpot 

Our 9 Tap Jackpot has grown to $2,526.00 and our Progre$$ive Pot  increases to $1,343.00.   There was a two way tie for the 9 Tap Jackpot bonus bucks as new member Alyssa Aguilar and Old timer Vergilio Repollo shared the bonus bucks for rolling 4 no taps.  Bring a friend or family member and sign them up to bowl on your tour.
