Hickam Bowl

Mar. 3rd, 2018

Total Paid Out: $5,744.00

Wrap Up

Our Newest Champion!

Another successful 9 Tap tournament concluded at Hickam Bowling Center this past weekend where our format was the Tour favorite, "Best 3 out of 4" and crowned a newChampion.  The scoring was just where we like it, not too high nor too low and it took a 725 score to cash. We saw a few BIG games Saturday, but those few bowlers were not able to string those big games together.  We had 80 entries; paid 16 places; paid out $5,744.00; low to cash was 725; and paid 1st place $1,319.00.

Kelly Magsanay set out early and took command of the 1st squad posting a fine 818score, a lead that would hold on for her 1st title.  New Tour member Marchelle Rubio followed closely with a nice 755.  Kenny Reynolds entered the 2nd squad and posted the only other 800 score, an 802, close but just short of his fourth title.   Asked what she was going to do with her winnings, her answer “Spoil my granddaughters and save for my BIG 50 Par-tee”.  Whoa girl, hope you're inviting the tour.  Kelly used a bowling ball given to her by Michael Dudley and drilled by who knows?  Huh?  For that matter it could have been an "Alley Ball".  Imagine being beat by an Alley Ball?  Congratulations!  Kelly Mags!!

Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots

Kenny Reynolds had 5 no taps and is seeking number 6 on his way to the "Golden #7" for $2,260.00.  He steps up on the approach, looks down the lane and not showing any signs of being nervous, delivers his ball on his target.  Yeah!  Looking good!!!  Auwe! Kenny goes wide and missed the head pin.  That's okay Kenny, you picked up a bonus cash of $150.  Congratulations!!

Our Progre$$ive Pot increased to $1210.00 and despite $150 bonus paid out, the 9 Tap Jackpot increased a little to $2,937.00.  Next tournament at Ft. Shafter Lanes, March 17, 2018.  It will be the first quarter Tournament sponsored by Storm, where the winner receives a certificate for a Storm Ball of Choice.  See all of you at Ft. Shafter!!
