Schofield Bowling Center 

Despite the new challenges we will face at Schofield Bowling Center in the near future, our tournament went on without too much of a hitch and 69 entries.  Ooooh yah!

Before every tournament starts, we always check with the Lead mechanic to ensure that the pattern set for the tournament site is the same for every tournament we hold. 

The scoring for the first two squads were absolutely where we like it however, there was something different as the third squad progresses and holy moly, someone brings the house down.  The scoring went as expected “tough but playable, right where we like it, not too high yet not too low".  Saturday's squads started like this: 

First Squad:  Eric Zotter starts the day off posting the high score total of 955 followed by 4 time Champion Vergilio Repollo at 935, then new member Craig Bolling at 915.  The first squad showed that scoring was going to be tough. 

Second Squad:  CSM Ken Reynolds shows up for the second squad and puts together a nice series of 980 and takes the lead away from Bob Kailewa who posted his score of 965 to outlast first squad leader Eric Zotter.  Scores are still low and its anyone's tournament to win. 

Third Squad:  Kenny Reynolds starts his third squad play with a great start and never looked back.  Kenny was in a zone, knew what was needed, went out and bowled with “flairand fashion” he is so noted for in a pressure cooked situation.  Hot on his heels were "Team Cruce", both Kevin and Chuchi (Catherine) Cruce.  Both husband and wife were on the verge of pulling off a 1 and 2 finish.  However, going into the last game of the final squad, Chuchi could not get things going right, ending with a busted game of 183 and total score of 990.  That was good enough to edge out hubby, Kevin by 9 pins.  Kevin on the other hand could not catch a break as the lanes got drier and ended with a nice score of 981. CSM Reynolds finished on a blistering pace with a score of 1073, the only 1000 shot the whole day. 

Kenny wins $1,297.00 and his third title.  Kenny’s bowling ball of choice was a Storm Snap Lock and a Roto Grip No Rules Pearl, drilled by Virgil Dela Cruz of Exxxtreme 300.  He thanks Virgil and Row Dela Cruz for their support, the 9 Tap Tour Staff, for holding these tournaments and most of all his biggest supporter, wife Lisa Reynolds, daughter Kennisa and son Ken Jr.  Kenny is a multi-region Champion, picking up win  #2 in Las Vegas.  Congratulations Kenny on Title number 3! 

Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpot . . . 

Our pots have increased and will make the  K-Bay tournament "Enticing".   The9 Tap Jackpot has increased to $1,236.00 and the Progressive Pot to$2,395.00.  So, come out and join us at K-Bay Bowling Center for our "Best 3 out of 4".
