Hickam Bowl

Oct. 28th, 2017

Total Paid Out: $5,859.00

Wrap Up

Back at Hickam

The tour made its way back to Hickam Bowling Center this weekend and it was  an exciting day with the leader board changing hands each squad.  This past week’s tournament produced 73 entries, 15 cashers, paid out $5,859.00 and another 1st time champion, it was exciting till the end.

Dennis Ikaika!!

The Hickam Tournament was the tour members’ favorite format of "Best 3 out of 4".  It was fun to see our members battling out on the lanes as Past Champion Keone Doanepaved the way with an awesome 821 series, for the 1st squad lead, followed closely by Champion Adrian Kelley's 809 series.  The second squad started off with a bang as (another) Champion Randy Kaea-Cook led with a no tap 300 followed closely by Marcus Jackson 307 (271 + 36), but Randy and Marcus stumbled a little which open the door for Champion Rashidi Domville, a nice 842 series and second squad lead.

Hawaiian definition of IKAIKA:  strength, powerful, sturdy, stalwart.  Dennis Ikaika joined the 9 Tap Tour back in June of 2013 with his best finish on tour, a 3rd place finish at Pali Lanes.  As the third squad started it was Champion Chloe Pojas that got off the blocks quickly.  Dennis, who has always been a strong supporter of the 9 Tap Tour, not so good, however, he scored well in the second game, moved a pair of lanes and with"Power, Strength and a Sturdy Stalwart" shot a no tap 300 and finished his fourth and last game firing a 268 to wrestle the lead away from Rashidi and win his "First Title".

Braddah Dennis thanks all the members and the 9 Tap Tour Staff for cheering him on.  Dennis got his ball drilled at Strike'em Dynamix, Leeward Bowl.  Dennis plans to use his winnings bowling in the 2018 TAT at Orleans Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas.  Auryte!!!  Congratulations on your first Championship, Ikaika!  KU!

Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpot . . .

Marcus Jackson had 5 No taps for $150.

Our pots are still large and will make the  Schofield tournament "Enticing".  The 9 Tap Jackpot has increased to $2,241.00 and the Progressive Pot to$1,219.00.  So, come out and join us at Schofield Bowling Center.
