Hickam Bowl - March 25th, 2017

Total Paid Out: $4,450.00

Wrap Up

Ricky wins despite tribulations

The 9 Tap Tour held its "First Quarter" tournament at Hickam Bowling Center with much STRESS but a lot of SUCCESS.   The tournament got started "r e a l l y  s l o w" for the first squad.  It picked up a little in the second squad and then "Swamped" in the 3rd squad.  Stress test for the Tour.

Ricky on the other hand strives on "Stress".  All 3 tournaments he has won was stressful in its own way, 3 different ways.

Stress Test #1 October 5, 2013:  Ricky and Vanessa both bowled in the first squad at Pali Lanes and it wasn't pretty, not good enough.  Ricky and family leaves after that horrid first squad but "in the DEEP RECESSES of his mind Ricky wanted to re-enter the third and last squad" but had second thoughts about bowling because of a lingering injury and an upcoming trip to the mainland.  Vanessa tells her hubby it's okay, go ahead and re-enter.  Title #1.

Stress Test #2 November 23, 2013:  Imagine being on vacation, get home and find out that your home has been "Flooded".  Then it sinks in and you think who can you call?  Family, friends, a contractor for extracting and repair?  How much damage?  Insurance Company?  Stress, Big Time!  How do you relieve the stress?  Ricky knows how, he was in Vegas with his "On To Vegas" league and bowled exceptionally well, made some bucks, then comes home bowls in the 9 Tap Tour tournament and wins.  Title #2.

Stress Test #3 March 25, 2017:  The "Toughest Test of All",  Ricky normally bowls 2 squads but on this day, at this tournament, he was only able to bowl one.  You see, Ricky lost one of his family member, brother Jimmy and there was family in town where Ricky and Vanessa had to be at.  In Ricky's words, "brother Jimmy, his Angel, was watching over him".  Title #3.

How's that for a stress reliever.  In 2nd Place was 4 time Champion Vergilio Repollo and 3rd Place was 3 time Champion Dwayne Corpuz.  Low to cash was 925 which is just delightful.  Ricky used a Motiv Primal Rage bowling ball drilled by Wes Flores of Schofield Bowling Pro Shop.  He would like to thank his beautiful wife, Vanessa, for all her love, support and believing in him, to his cheering section of wife, kids and friends (Don, Sid, Mike, Tiny, Kevin and Randy).  Congratulations Ricky.

Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpot

Our 9 Tap Jackpot has increased to $5,268.00 and the Progre$$ive Pot also increased to $1,045.00.  The Tour will be heading to Ft. Shafter for its next tournament.  There were 4 members tied at 4 No Taps, Sid Remigio, Glen Lim, Scott Amuro and Ricky Laguana, all splitting $100.
