Hickam Bowl - May 6th, 2017

Total Paid Out: $5,347.00

Wrap Up

Hickam Bowling Center

We celebrated our first tournament in the month of May as part of our Anniversary Celebration of the 9 Tap Tour HI Region at Hickam Bowling Center.  On May 20th, we will celebrate our 7th year in existence here in Hawaii-nei with more giveaways. This past May 6 tournament, we gave away a bowling ball donated by Brian Ash, DV8 towels, ball cleaners/polish, grip sack and thumb/finger tape donated by HBS (Hawaii Bowling Supply) Mike Asuncion.  The 9 Tap Tour also injected a fun prize to the bowler who placed 2nd to last of each squad called "BOOBY BOWLERS".

Hickam usually brings a lot of big scores but for this past tournament, it yielded one 800; the cash list went from -3 to 57; low to cash was 738; and a first time Champion, “We simply had a great tournament and fun time”.

Play by Play

The pattern seemed to be real tough as our members started their 10 minute shadow.  The tournament began with the 1st squad starting things off and Jody Loo leading the way posting an early 792 score.  The 2nd squad saw the scoring get tighter as William Reyes Jr. moved up the leader board posting a nice 779 score, 14 pins short of taking the lead.  Mike Dudley started the 2nd squad scoring a 277(295 hdcp) but slipped a little and could not catch a break to move up higher on the leader board.

As the 3rd squad started, eventual Champion Rashidi Domville hit a zone and barely got pass Jody Loo with a come from behind win posting a nice 801 score to beat out two-time Champion Jody Loo by 9 pins.  Ray Seabury made a valiant attempt at the leaders but fell a little short.  Rashidi used a Storm Sure Lock, drilled by Virgil Dela Cruz of Exxxtreme 300 Pro Shop for his 1st Title.  Congratulations, Rashidi!

Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots

Our Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots are at a sizeable payout for the next winner, as the Tour heads to Schofield Bowling Center.  The Progressive Pot stands at $1,295.00 and our 9 Tap Jackpot is at $5,795.00.  Winners of the no tap for Hickam's tournament went to Rashidi Domville and Vergilio Repollo with 4 no taps.  They both shared $100 of bonus 9 Tap Jackpot monies.  See all of you at Schofield!!
