Asuncion gets Trumped by an Ace 

Our Newest Champion . . . 

"I can't thank Virgil Dela Cruz enough for coaching and inspiring me and girl friend, Rolena, in our bowling.  To my girl friend, Rolena, for believing in me".  It is ironic that I won this tournament right after Rolena won hers'.  I'm so stoked and extremely happy.  Now the bragging rights will be on who wins a second title before the other.  Those were the words of our Champion Ace Estiamba.  Ace has been with the 9 Tap Tour at the urging of Virgil Dela Cruz since December of 2014.  Ace is saving up his winnings for Rolena's upcoming birthday. 

Ace and Rolena entered the second squad of the K-Bay tournament; Ace didn't do aswell as Rolena in that second squad, so he reentered the third squad with a lofty goal to finish on the cash list.  Sergio Villanueva finished the first squad as our leader at 761.  Mike Asuncion took the lead in the second squad posting a nice 802 score, which was felt, difficult to beat.  The pattern selected for the day is grueling and tough but Ace was willing to put his skills to work.  Putting together scores of 195 + 276 + 232 = 811 in the three of four games, Mike Asuncion got Trumped by Ace Estiamba, making Ace our newest Champion.

Another successful 9 Tap tournament concluded at K-Bay Lanes this past weekend, despite the worries we had of getting our members into K-Bay Main Gate.  The scoring was just at the level we like to see, where it took a 737 to cash and with only 2 bowlers topping 800.  We saw a few BIG games Saturday, but those few bowlers were not able to string those big games together.  Congratulations Ace!!!
