Hickam Bowl - January 9th, 2016

Total Paid Out: $4,259.00

Wrap Up

WOW!!!  Fireworks . . .

Our 9 Tap Tour kicked off the New Year at Hickam Bowling Center for its first tournament of the 2016 Season, and what a "Production of Fireworks, finishing with a Big Blast!".  It created a whole lot of  fun, excitement and very high scoring.  Hickam produced another two time Champion in Glen Teramoto, earning him $1,090.00 and his second Tour Shirt.  This time around was easy for Glen because he had set the bar extremely high.  After the first squad, Glen shot lights out with a score of 1193, a huge lead and that had everyone chasing him.  Tyrone Johnson, also bowled very well, posting a great score of 1106, only to trail Glen by 87 pins and a fifth place finish.  Mike Naehu made a gallant try but fell short by 50 pins, an 1143 score for 2nd place.  Ace Estiamba was third with a score of 1126, followed by Daniel Perreira with an 1119.  Glen thanks his buddies, Danny, Mike, Derrick and Grace for the support and cheering him on.  Also, a Mahalo! to the 9 Tap Tour for putting on these tournaments and giving the bowlers a chance to compete and making it "fun all around".  Glen used a Radical bowling ball for his win and drilled at Schofield Pro Shop.  Congratulations Glen!

Deferred 2016 Memberships:

As we have done in the past, any member with a current 2015 Membership, may defer paying 2016 dues, until they “Cash” in a Tournament.  So, no need to worry about paying the dues up front . . . .  new members who have joined the tour sinceOctoberhave paid their 2016 Annual Membership.

900 Global & AMF Bowler of the Year (BOY)

The competition for 900 Global & AMF "Bowler of the Year (BOY)" was as close as it could be with the top 3 members still in the hunt; Virgil Dela Cruz, Ben Ballesteros and Daniel Toyooka-Lim.  Again, it came down to the last tournament of the 2015 season to determine the Champion.  Daniel Toyooka-Lim outlasted Virgil and Ben to claim his second "Bowler of the Year" (BOY).  Daniel Toyooka-Lim  will have another Title Year embroidered on his BOY shirt indicating his second title.  Congratulations Daniel for another great year, and 2nd BOY (Bowler of the Year) title.

Thanks to all of our Sponsors:

900 Global & AMF Corey Hoffman;  Hawaii Bowling Supply (HBS)(Mike Signaigo); The Embroidery Gift Shop (Verna Rapez);  Spaghettini's in Haleiwa (Bob & Suzanne Swartz); Exxxtreme 300 Pro Shop (Rowena & Virgil Dela Cruz); Audie's Auto Tech (Audie & Annie Saili);  for their continued support and sponsorship of the 9 Tap Tour, YEC and Bowler of the Year (BOY) award.
