Back from Las Vegas! 

Hope that all of our 9 Tap members had a very enjoyable “Super Bowl” weekend and that your favorite team was victorious.  We surely did as we met with Rob Victor and enjoyed watching the game at South Point Hotel and Casino Exhibition Hall.  There were 3 bowling tournaments we were involved in, the newly established 9 Tap Tour Las Vegas;  the annual National True Amateur Tournament (TAT); and the "Big Kahuna at the Arena" produced by Darrell Pojas. 

Ft. Shafter Lanes 

There were 59 entries, paid 12 places, paid out $4,066.00 and $989.00 for 1st Place at Ft. Shafter's Best 3 out of 4 tournament.  Our tournament Champion is old timer Glen Lim.  It has been several years since Glen won his first title.  Glen and his son, Daniel, joined the 9 Tap Tour back in June of 2010.  In fact, Daniel started the day as the 1st squad leader posting a nice 834.  Daniel's lead would be short lived as Glen would then post an 874 score and push the bar higher in the 2nd squad.  In the 3rd squad, a few of our members made valiant attempts but Glen's score of 874 stood strong.  This is Glen's 2nd title which earns him a red shirt.  He used an old Colombia Piranha drilled by Darin Villegas for the win.  He thanks his wife, Pat and son, Daniel, for the support and advice that Daniel had given.  Glen thanks the 9 Tap Tour and staff for putting on these tournaments. 

K-Bay Lanes on the 5th of March. 

The tour heads to K-Bay Lanes with a sizeable Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpot.  The format will be “Beat the Board” and should be very interesting.  Our 9 Tap Jackpot is at$950.00 and the Progre$$ive Pot at $3,022.00.   The 9 Tap Jackpot paid out $75 toJames Baumgartner for 4 No Taps.  Bring a friend or family member and sign them up to bowl on your tour.
