Ft. Shafter Bowl - July 9th, 2016

Total Paid Out: $4,226.00

Wrap Up

Championship decided by "One Pin" . . . .

The Ft. Shafter tournament did not disappoint us as scoring was a little on the high side but a great finish!  We had 58 entries, 12 cashers and a 1st time Champion; scores in our “Beat the Board” format were exciting all day.  One could say that the scoring was high but it was soooo close.  The order of the day started with the leader and "Ft. Shafter's House Bowler" Jason Fujimoto at 1052.  Clint Kato didn't waste any time improving on his first score by posting a 1086 but it could have been better had he finished his first game with a higher score (instead of a 275) or been clean in his third game of the second squad, a 198 score.  Jeremy Ledetentered the third squad hoping to make the cash list, started slow but found a great line and shot a perfect no tap game.  He moved a pair of lanes and continued his scoring run finishing at 1090.  Not to be out done, Clint Kato was not giving in so quickly.  After the third game of the third squad,  Clint still had a 20 pin lead, as both bowlers started their fourth game.  It was Clint matching Jeremy strike for strike until the fourth frame, when Clint made an error, struggled a little, and found his line again striking off the sheet to finish at 1089.  A one pin win for Jeremy.  Wow!  How awesome was that.  Congratulations Jeremy! Jeremy thanks all the members of the 9 Tap Tour for their support and to Daniel Toyooka-Lim for not showing up!  He also would like to thank Shane Gasper for drilling his Roto Grip Hy-Wire bowling ball.  With his winnings, Jeremy plans to pay some bills and save the rest for "Whatever".

MEMBERSHIP SPECIAL:  Starting last week, all Memberships were reduced to just $15.00 for both New Members and  2016 renewals.  A really good time to bring a friend or a family member to a Tournament and work on your Lifetime Member status.

Our 9 Tap Jackpot stands at $3,635.00 and the Progressive Pot to $ 945.00.  The pots are still large and waiting for one of our members to take home the “Bigger Bucks”.  Our next stop will be at Schofield Bowling Center on July 23, 2016with no change in squad times, 12:00 pm2:30 pm; and 5:00 pm. There was a tie for the 9 Tap Jackpot as Dennis Matthews and Lawrence Ambush shared the bonus money of $76.00 for getting "4 No Taps".
