Schofield Bowl - April 25th, 2015

Total Paid Out: $5,309.00

Wrap Up

Schofield Bowling Center . . .

The oil pattern that was laid out for the Schofield tournament was not easy by any means as the scores indicated.  There were 3 scores in the 800’s, low to cash was 724 and the handicaps for the cashers ranged from 0 to 65.  Our 9 Tap Jackpot was nearly hit for $5,909 but instead paid out $500 for the front 6 no taps.  Ohhhhh!  So close.

Kevin Enomoto is another first time Champion on the 9 Tap Tour Hawaii Region joining 4 other first timers.  Four time Champion Ron Loo started the “Best 3 out of 4” day by scoring a Triple 7 (777) in the 1st squad but that didn’t last to long as Kevin Asato went back to back 300’s in the 2nd squad and finished with an 849, that seemed difficult to beat.  But

Kevin Enomoto had other things on his mind.  Coming off of a 2nd place finish at the Ft. Shafter tournament, where he shot a nice score to lead that tournament, lost it to Ron Loo in the third squad.  At Schofield, in the back of his mind was a 2nd place finish.  Kevin, who has just moved back to Hawaii from Arizona, entered the third squad and after the third game was tied for the lead with Kevin Asato.  But Kevin was not to be denied as he finished his fourth game nosing out Asato by 11 pins with a 1060.  Kevin used a Hammer Arson Low Flare drilled by Craig Spencer of Virtue Bowling Supply.  He would like to thank the 9 Tap Tour Staff for giving him the opportunity to bowl in the 9 Tap Tournaments and the members for their encouragement and support.  He also thanks Schofield bowling center for a great venue.  Congrats Kevin on your 1st win!!!

Our Progre$$ive Pot has increased to $1,300.00 and 9 Tap Jackpot lost a little steam after being hit with a $500 Bonus toBen Ballesteros string of the front 6 no taps.  Here shows Ben "Choking", call 9 1 1 for a Paramedic. The 9 Tap Jackpot stands at $7,141.00.

May 9, 2015 is our next tournament date at Pali Lanes.  Be sure to come out and celebrate with the 9 Tap Tour Staff on its 5th Annual Tournament.

Our “Pali Tournament” marks 5 years of 9 Tap Tour in Hawaii.  We wish to express our sincere appreciation to our members for your loyal support.  We could not have come this far without you and our sponsors:  The Embroidery Gift Shop; Hawaii Bowling Supply; Exxxtreme 300 Pro Shop; Gasper Bowling Supply; Spaghettini’s in Haleiwa; Audie’s Auto Tech;  Joining us this year as Sponsor is 900 Global and AMF.
