Hickam Bowling Center 

Hickam usually brings a lot of big scores but for this past tournament, it yielded two 1000 scores.  Scoring to cash at Hickam on an average is normally in the high 900.  This past weekend tournament, the cash list went from -6 to 54; low to cash was 927; and a first time Champion, which is to say, “We simply had a great tournament”. 

Play by Play 

The day started with the 1st squad starting things off slow.  Leading the way was 2014 BOY (Bowler of the Year) Ben Ballesteros posting an 863.  The 2nd squad saw the scoring leap to great heights as 3 time Champion Emory Carrick shot 1074, the first of only two 1000’s rolled all day.  The 3rd squad saw eventual Champion, Erick Walker hit a zone and a come from behind win shooting a nice 1095 score to beat out Champion Emory Carrick by 21 pins.  Erick used a Hammer Legend Red, drilled by Virgil Dela Cruz of Exxxtreme 300 Pro Shop for his 1st Title.  He thanks his wife Michelle Walker for cheering and supporting him at the tournament.  Erick also thanks the 9 Tap Tour for putting together another “Great Tournament”.  Congratulations, Erick! 

Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots 

Our Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots are at a sizeable payout for the next winner, as the Tour heads to Schofield Bowling Center.  Dennis Ikaika and Peter Sarte both had 4 No Taps to split the bonus bucks of $150.  The Progressive Pot stands at $1,118.00 and our 9 Tap Jackpot is at $7,223.00.  If you have plans on competing in the upcoming PBA West Regionals (Pro Am) or the Hawaii State Open and Seniors Championships or our next tournament at Hickam, I may have passes for you; give Kawika a call at (808 779-6566).    See all of you at Schofield!!
