Another tremendous tournament we had this past weekend at Schofield Bowling Center.  There were 104 entries and a payout of $6,521.00.  There was a cash list of 21 places and members on the cash list with handicaps ranging from -8 to 54 and a very low to cash 717.  "Who Won the Tournament"?  Our High School Music Director Daniel Toyooka-Lim won this tournament, his 4th title, on a steady performance.  Daniel has been a steady performer despite having a “Minus Handicap” and on Saturday, Daniel's score of 815, was just out of reach of New Member David Hancock whose score of 809, was just short but good for 2nd place.  Stellar performers, Virgil Dela Cruz and Bryce Akagi, both with nice scores of 795 tied for 3rd place. Daniel's fourth title gets him a "Gold shirt" and on the heals of our tournament leader Ben Ballesteros.  Daniel used his Ice Storm to win his fourth title.  He had his ball drilled at Strike’em Pro Shop by Darin Villegas.  Asked what he was going to do with his winnings, he says, “put gas in his car to get to work”.  That’s a good thing.  Congratulations Daniel!  Daniel thanks mom and dad for the encouragement, motivation and support they have given him at all the tournaments; Wednesday night buddies, Don Furuya and Mike Asuncion; and the “Awesome People of the 9 Tap Tour” for putting on a great event. 

The Tour makes its next showing at Pali Lanes on June 14, for our “Quarterly” tournament and Beat the Board format.  There will be added incentives for bowlers entering the tournament, so mark your calendars and come out to Pali Lanes.  Our Progressive Pot is at $1,570.00 and the 9 Tap Jackpot at $6,409.00.  We had 5 members (Emory Carrick; LeVann Anthony; Curtis Iha; Christalynn Bonifacio; and Sonya Baker) rolling 3 No Taps for the day and all members received $25.00 each.  Tell your friends and Ohana about our tournament so we all can flourish and make our Tour "extra large".  More Information will be given out as to what kind of prizes the Tour will be giving out.  Stay Tuned.
