Total Paid Out: $6,418.00

Wrap Up

94 entries on the Day

After returning from the 9th Island and bowling in the Presidents Day City Tournament, it was nice to get back to “No Tap Mania” at Schofield.  It was a fun filled time with our members after a 3-week break and with those who have actually missed our tournament.  This past weekend’s tournament produced 94 entries, 19 cashers, paid out $6,418.00 and crowned a 1st time champion.

Brennan wins First Title

“Fire Man”, Brennan Doane took time off on Saturday to bowl at Schofield and hit abig payday of $1,520.00.  In his words “I felt lucky all day and that made it fun, exciting and to win, was icing on the cake”.  In the 1st squad, Craig Brinkstarted things off posting a very nice 999.  The 2nd squad got really interesting when Bryan Akagi rolled a 300 to take the lead, Mark Aquino, new member Carl Finster and Cheryl Katoposted scores of 1029, 1022, 1021 and 1020 respectfully.  In the 3rd squad, Bryce Akagi, andTerrence Fukuda started things off shooting 300 games and posting other good scores.  While to the side, Brennan Doane quietly posted consistent scores and shocked a few members who were watching the Akagi and Fukuda strike fest.  After the smoke cleared, Brennan had posted a 1094 score and deflated the strike fest.  Cheryl Kato surprised Terrence by sneaking by him with her improved score of 1039.  Congratulations Brennan on your first Title.  There was a 4 way tie in the 9 Tap Jackpot, as Kevin Asato, Emory Carrick, Mario Talon and Donald Jonesput together 3 no taps and shared $100 for $25 apiece. Brennan used a Roto Grip Scream, drilled by Dan Maglangit of Strike’em Pro Shop for his 1st Title.  Also on a side note, Brennan has won a free entry into next weeks’ Hawaii Scratch Challenge tournament, March 2, starting at 9 am

Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots

Our Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots have increased and should give a sizeable payout to next week’s winner as the Tour heads to Hickam Bowling Center.  The Progressive Pot stands at $1,365.00 and our 9 Tap Jackpot is at $5,878.00.  The tour is returning to Hickam Bowling Center, so if you were not at Schofield this past week, and did not get you Hickam Pass and plan to bowl, give me a call because we may have your pass.    See all of you there!!
