Wrap Up

Ron Loo wins @ Leeward, #1

Records after records fell at Leeward Bowl on April 7, 2012.  The 9 Tap Tour amassed 119 entries that day and who was the benefactor of that day, Ron Loo of course.  Ron took home $1,541.00 for his very first tournament win.  Blue Shirt.

Ron Loo wins @ Schofield, #2

It's June 22, 2013, going into the final frame, if Ron would throw the first strike, he wins going away.  Ron throws a short pocket leaving a bucket 6 count, spare he stays alive and a chance to win Championship Shirt number 2.  He spares and now needs a no tap or natural strike to win by two.  On the eleventh frame, he barely gets the ball back to the pocket but a good mix of pins on deck, carries all ten pins for a strike, wins by 2 pins with a 1038 and takes home $1,601.  What an exciting finish!  Red Shirt.

Ron Loo wins @ K-Bay, #3  ***Highlights***

Ron Loo started the first squad with a big score of 290 to grab the lead, followed it up with scores of 241, 279, 230 plus his handicap of 64 (16/gm) for a 4 game total of 1104 and did not relinquish his hold of 1st place.  But no one thought to lay back and bowl for 2nd place. Chris Gosizk started slow but then finished in a flurry of strikes but fell short by 14 pins, a 1090 and 2nd place.  Mildred Velez joined her husband Daniel on the tour and almost pulled it off except for her last game where she faltered, finishing 3rd with a score of 1061.  Congratulations Ron for winning your 3rd Title and a well deserved White Shirt.  Congrats go out to all the winners of 9 Tap K-Bay Tournament.  Ron used a Storm Pitch Black drilled at Exxxtreme 300, Row and Virgil Dela Cruz’s Pro Shop.  Congratulations on your third win!!!

Our day went smoothly as members who had their passes got into Kaneohe Marine Corps Base Hawaii (KMCBH) without any pain or issues, those who did not have their passes called the bowling center and Manager Elden Doi went out to the gate to sponsor those members onto the base.  A Big Mahalo, Elden!

The next 9 Tap Tour tournament will be held at Schofield Bowling Center and it will be our third quarter tournament.  Yep!  The Schofield Champion will win a High Performance Ball from HBS.  Also, Exxxtreme 300 will sponsor the Schofield Tournament.  Our Progre$$ive Pot stands at $1,266.00 and the 9 Tap Jackpot at $6,674.00.  Bonus Bucks paid out $220 to a our members who had on their 9 Tap Tour Shirts and rolled 2 No Taps.  7 members split the 9 Tap Jackpot for their 3 No Tap Bonus.
