Schofield Bowl - April 6th, 2013
Total Paid Out: $5,563.00
Schofield Relents to 2 Champions Craig Brink finished the 1st squad with the outright lead firing a 1009 and was in the driver’s seat. When he reentered the 2nd squad, I told him to wait for the 3rd squad and see where you’re at after the 2nd squad finishes. He said, “I would rather bowl when I’m still in sync than coming in cold”. Craig didn’t bowl as well as he did in the 1st squad, so he reentered the 3rd squad, knowing that his lead had vanquished and his position was now third. The third time was a charm as he rolled a great series and tied for 1st place and his 1st Title. He bowled really well and thanks Nelson Weyl. Craig used a Hammer Taboo drilled by Nelson at Schofield Bowling Center Pro Shop. Ben Ballesteros is on a roll as he Co-Stars at Schofield Bowling Center, winning his third title. Our “Honolulu’s Finest (HPD)”, Ben was just trying to get the ball to the pocket but kept going into the head and “OMG!” pins kept falling. Ben did confess that he was thinking of going to Church on Sunday. After setting the score of 1063, Ben waited for the 3rd squad only to find Craig Brink had tied his score. They both agreed to become Co-Champions for the Schofield event. Ben thanks Roe and Virgil Dela Cruz for their support and Virgil, of “Exxxtreme 300”, for drilling his Storm Sync. Sponsor Audie Saili of “Audie’s Auto Tech”, put together 4 no taps and won an additional $150 to go with his 5th place finish. Mar Esta had 5 No Taps at Ft. Shafter on theMarch 16th tournament and won $300 for his efforts. We did not have his photo then but we do now. Congrats! Mar. The Progre$$ive Pot is at $1,521.00 and the 9 Tap Jackpot is up to $7,202.00. Just a reminder, members that do not have their shirts with the “9 Tap” logo embroidered should have them done. If you can’t get there, bring a shirt to us and we will take it to Verna Rapez of “The Embroidery Gift Shop” located at Stadium Mall. |
