Wrap Up

Fun & Bonus Bucks

There was some high scoring done yesterday and this time there were 5 scores topping the 1000 mark.  The last Pali tournament produced 13 1000 scores.  The tournament was a giant success as we had 86 entries, a  Cash List  of 17 with averages ranging from -1 to 36, where the cashers at the mid range handicaps were from 15 to 36.  At the May tournament, the Tour gave away“Bonus Bucks ($10)” to any member wearing their 9 Tap Tour shirt and rolling 2 No Taps in the 1st and 2nd frames.  Being very successful, we did it again with a little twist.  This created loads of fun and entertainment for the members, as the Tour passed out nearly a $1000 of the 9 Tap Jackpot from our past 2 tournaments. Sonya Baker put together 5 No Taps and won the 9-Tap Jackpot Bonus of $300which outshone our newest member, Dennis Ikaika, who put together 6 middle taps and just missed out on number 7 with a natural strike.  Auwe!  Braddah Dennis.

Daniel Wins #2

The Tour's newest 2 Time Champion is Daniel Toyooka-Lim.   Daniel set the tone early and never relinquished his foothold of his lead.  Curtis Iha made a gallant attempt to make it back to back wins but fell well short.  Squad 1:  Daniel and Curtis made it look easy, both men shot scores of 1046 and 1029, respectively.  Squad 2: Sonya Baker got into the mix but fell just short of Curtis and Daniel shooting a nice 1017.  Squad 3:  Daniel reenters and puts a “Foot Stomp with Attitude”, goes ballistic and shoots 1072, closing the tournament door on everyone.  Clayton Saguibo made it look interesting with scores of 265 and 277 but on the switch of lanes, Clayton had a couple hiccups and let it slip.  Daniel put a seal on bragging rights in the family but dad, Glen Lim says, “I taught him everything he knows, hehehe!”

Daniel used his Storm Ice, drilled by Darin Villegas at Strike’em Pro Shop for his second win of the season.  He plans to use his $1,612.00 Winners share for a “Great Fathers Day gift!”  Oh, Daniel, what a nice son you are.  Daniel is employed with the DOE as a Teacher and asked us to thank Mom and Dad for their support and coaching; friends Darin Villegas and Jarret Mizo for helping him in fixing his bowling; and the 9 Tap Tour staff for putting in all the hard work to assure the tournament runs smoothly and with incentives.  Mahalo!  Congratulations on your second title!

Our next tournament will be a quarterly tournament and will be held at Schofield Bowling Center.  The tours 9 Tap Jackpot stands at $7,036.00 and Progressive Pot at $1,483.00.  The pots are still large and waiting for one of our members to “Strike It Rich”.
