Ft. Shafter Bowl - November 23rd, 2013

Wrap Up
Kenny Reynolds was flirting with the 9 Tap Jackpot this past tournament.  The first squad showed just three no taps bowled but in the second squad, Kenny started the second game with 5 no taps in the middle; a natural, then two more no taps, wow just missed.  He re-enters the third squad and immediately starts with the front 5 and like the second squad, Kenny goes natural strike then two no taps.  Ouch! Close Kenny but for naught as he takes home an additional $300 to go with his 7th place finish.  Nice bowling Kenny.

Imagine being on vacation and to find out that your home has been "Flooded".  Then it sinks in and you think who can you call?  Family, friends or contractor for extracting and repair?  How much damage?  Insurance Company?  Stress, Big Time!  Been there done that.  Stress!  How do you relieve the stress?  Ricky knows how, he was in Vegas with his "On To Vegas" league and bowled exceptionally well, made some bucks, then comes home bowls in the 9 Tap Tour tournament wins his 2nd Title and $1,511.00.  How's that for a stress reliever.  Awwryte!!!  It didn't come easy though as the lane conditions were not the easiest as the scores imply.  The first squad leader was Wayne Akagi with a 958; second squad leader was new member Tammy Poteat with a nice 967; third squad and eventual winner, Ricky Laguana with a 971.  Low to cash was 923 which is just delightful.  Ricky used an 811 C/T Truck drilled by Dan Maglangit Jr. at Strike'em Pro Shop.  He would like to thank his beautiful wife, Vanessa, for all her love, support and believing in him.  To his cheering section of wife, kids and sister in-law.  Congratulations on your 2nd Title and a "Belated Happy Birthday".  What is he going to do with his winnings?  Two words, "Christmas Shopping".

Our 9 Tap Jackpot is still large at $6,490.00 and the Progre$$ive Pot is$1,524.00.  The Tour will be heading back to Schofield for the 4th Quarter and the last tournament of the year.  After the Dec 14th tournament, Hawaii will hold their first Year End Championship.  This tournament is by Invitation Only.  Invitations have been e-mailed to all of the Tour's 2013 Champions and Active Prior Champions (2010-2012).  Next to receive Invitations will be the top Bowler of the Year point getters.  At this moment, we have two champion bowlers who have declined and that means we are adding more bowlers from the BOY List.  Stay Tuned, it will be Exciting!
