9 Tap Jackpot Waiting to be Hit

If you all remember, back in March of 2013 at Ft. Shafter, Ray Allen hit our 9 Tap Jackpot for $1,000 stringing “7 (in a row) No Taps in the Middle”.  That was very exciting to watch and witness Ray receiving $1,000.  This past tournament, at Ft. Shafter, Kevin Miura put together 6 No Taps in a row but alas, Kevin ran out of frames.  He had just threw the last 6 frames all taps of the 3rd game, then in the first frame of the 4th game, another tap, it would have been “7(in a row) No Taps in the Middle”.  Kevin was so close.  The consolation bonuses for 3, 4, 5, and 6 remain the same and winning 80% of the jackpot starts from the 1st frame to the completion of the 7th frame.  Mar Esta and Ben Ballesteros each had 5 no taps and shared the bonus money of $300, $150 each.

Another First Time Winner

Clay Saguibo is no stranger to the local bowling community dating back to the late 70’s and early 80’s but dropped out of the bowling scene to concentrate on a career outside of bowling.  Being out of bowling for nearly 20 some odd years and a retiree, Clay has renewed his passion for bowling, joined the 9 Tap Tour in March of 2011 and just got back from LV with Tour Sponsor and owner of HBS Mike Signaigo bowling in the True Amateur Nationals.  There were just two (2) 1000 scores shot all day and it started in the first squad, 2 time titlist Daniel Toyooka-Lim kicked things off with a beautiful score of 1038.  In that first squad, the nearest competitor score was a 951.  There was no change in leader and very little change in the scoring except for a 966 shot by Dennis Among.  Clay then decided to reenter the final squad and started pretty predictable with scores in the first two games of 257 and 258, moved a pair of lanes and shot 280 and a 256 to shoot the only other 1000 score, (1051), and edged out Daniel by a mere 13 pins; and deny Daniel his third title.  Clay used a Storm Tropical Heat and thanks Jody Yamamoto of Hawaii Bowling Supply for drilling his ball.  Clay alsothanks the 9 Tap Tour for putting on a “Great Tournament and by making it fair for all bowlers to compete.” Congratulations Clay on your first win.

The Tour moves to Pali Lanes for our next tournament and another round of scoring fun. The tours’ 9 Tap Jackpot stands at $7,738.00.   The Progressive Pot stands at $1,651.00, and will award the Champion a “Hefty” 1st place prize money, so be there to collect your share of the “Big Bonuses” and the “Hefty Prize Money”.  Our membership is still “Discounted” and a great time for you to have your Ohana and friends join you in the 9 Tap Tour.  Member Ricky Laguana signed up his wife, Vanessa, into the Tour and that very day she became a Tour Winner.
