Schofield Bowl - June 23rd, 2012
Total Paid Out: $5,638.00
“No Tap Mania” 92 Entries!!! Surprise! Surprise! Yes, it was a surprise to Art, I and Staff to see the turnout for this past Schofield tournament. The greatest thing is, I had been in Seattle visiting and bowled in the Puget Sound Regions' tournament and their bowlers are asking about and wanting to come here to bowl. Art and I were in Baton Rouge for USBC Nationals and the experience was priceless, enjoyable and fun. Reno in 2013, interested, let Art or Kawika know because we are flirting with the idea of putting together three (3) teams from 9 Tap Tour Hawaii Region. Amber wins Title #2 Just two days shy of a year, Amber Gomes-Cadelinia wins her second title with a score of 1075. With all the support and cheering Amber was getting, it kept her focused on her bowling. Her biggest cheerleader was her hubby, Josh Cadelinia and the members that were on her pair of lanes, Ben Wong, Darrell Salondaka, Lani Ring and Elden Miyashiro. Although there were four (4) other 1000 scores bowled, only one was a threat to out duel Amber and the story goes; Alric Kutara was on a roll bowling in the second squad, cruising, until the 10th frame of game 4. Needing a strike, to closeout Amber, or an eight count spare, then eight count for his first title; Alric pulls his first shot, 5 count and a difficult spare converts. One shot, a no-tap or natural strike, he wins; eight count a tie and co-champion; Alric leaves the 3, 9, 10 pins, a 7 count and loses by 2 pins. Wow!! Amber used a Storm Invasion, drilled by Wes Flores of Exxxtreme 300 Pro Shop, for her win. |
