Tournament Wrap Up
No Tap Mania Lorrie Yan Ganiron said it right, “it’s No Tap Mania” at Pali. Another successful 9 Tap tournament was held at Pali Lanes this past weekend. The Best 3 out of 4 format was a nice change for our members as it produced 77 entries, big payouts, 15 cashers and a new champion. It was a fun filled time with our members and with those who have been missed from our tournament play for awhile, nice to have them back. There were some nice giveaways at Pali, which included bowling ball tote bags, buffers and Subway tickets. Brittny wins first Title Our new Champion is Brittny Iha, winning her first title and a big payday of $1446.00. In her words “It was fun, nervous, enjoyable and challenging at the same time”. Brittny bowled really well, as she put up her score of 840, a 300 game included, then waited till the second and third squads were completed to see her score of 840 prevail. Sidney Remigio (835), needing one more tap or natural strike came up just short of his second title, and Chad Lau (823) needing a mark in the 10th frame, “Auwe, Braddah wen miss”, it cost Chad his first title and Brittny’s 840 score held on. Brittny says she does not know what she will do with her winnings. Brittny get plenty sponsors you can patronize that will congratulate you and let you purchase about anything. Stephanie Dyke made a concerted attempt at hitting the 9 Tap Jackpot but fell short as the 5th frame natural strike gave her just 4 no taps and a $100 consolation prize. You could tell when Stephanie came up for the 5th frame “cause everything got quiet and all EYES focused on her”, way to go Stephanie. Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots Our Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots have increased and should give a sizeable payout to the winner. The Progressive Pot stands at $1,408.00 and our 9 Tap Jackpot is at a very high $6,279.00. The tour makes it’s next stop at Hickam Bowling Center and if you have been there, getting on base is a little challenging. Give yourself a little bit more time to get through the gate. See all of you there!! |
