It was "Hectic, Stressful and a Big Disappointment" with Hickam Bowling Center.  There were issues at the main gate as well as the side gate to Hickam.  No one in security knew where the visitors list was located, after finding it in some drawer some 2 or was it 3 hours later and with some assistance from CSM Ken Reynolds, did we get some of our bowlers onto the Base.  Despite losing quite a number of bowlers that turned around and left, the turnout at Hickam was "Tremendous"; and although we started late and had issues with the scoring system, our 9 Tap Tournament turned out"Super"

This weeks' Champion was Virgil Dela Cruz.  A member from the very establishment of our 9 Tap Tour Hawaii back in May of 2010,  it has been a long time coming for Virgil. After "perservering and waiting for 3 hours", Virgil and good buddy Ben Ballesteros finally got to bowl in the second squad.  Right away Virgil came out "Storm . . .ing, using a Storm Prodigy and Modern Marvel" shot a 300 and a 267, then cooled off, shooting a total score of 1046.  Then sat through the third squad with Wayde Takamori (1045) and Kevin Cruce (1042) hot on his heels.  Buddy Ben was also close but short after scoring a 1017.  Bowling with partner, Ben Ballesteros, Virgil said "I just felt comforable bowling with Ben, new members, Corey Taniguchi, Derek Namoc and Lloyd Tamba".  Wayde Takamori said "I didn't know that I was that close, and if I knew would probably CHOKE".  Kevin Cruce produced some excitement, needing to go off the sheet in the 10th frame, got the first one but came in "HIGH in the 11th frame and finished 4 pins short..  Virgil thanks Row(wife), Jaymee(daughter), and Ben for their support and Wes Flores for helping with his game.

Pali Lanes

The format for our next tournament at Pali Lanes will be "Beat the Board". The Tour gave out $150 to split between "Ken Reynolds, Lauralyn Samson and new member Derek Namoc for the 4 no taps on Saturday, which leaves the tour’s 9 Tap Jackpot at $7,238.00.  The Progressive Pot is at $1454.00and will give our next champion a sizable payday.
