89 entries on the Day

It was “No Tap Mania” at Ft. Shafter this time.  Another successful 9 Tap tournament was held this past weekend with the format being “the Best 3 out of 4”and it was a nice change of pace for our members as it produced 89 entries, big payouts, 19 cashers and a 2-time champion.  It was a fun filled time with our members and with those who have been missed from our tournament play for awhile, nice to have them back.  Receiving their Championship Shirts were first time Champions Robert Dougherty and Solomon Chung Jr.

Dwayne wins Second Title

Dwayne took time off on Saturday to bowl at Ft. Shafter and hit abig payday of $1,506.00.  In his words “It was exciting, fun and very lucky at the same time”.  Dwayne bowled really well, as he put up the best score (825) of the day.  Kevin Cruce was the only member close to Dwayne.  Kevin posted the only other 800 score of the day, an 806 and 2nd place, which was worth $681.  Dwayne says he is giving his winnings to Debra, she knows what to do with the winnings.

Dave Pickering got everyone excited by putting together 5 no taps but came up short of the head pin and an eight count.  Whew!! That was a close call.  The 5 no taps were good for a big $300 bonus.

Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots

Our Progressive and 9 Tap Jackpots have increased and should give a sizeable payout to the winner.  The Progre$$ive Pot stands at $1,580.00 and our 9 Tap Jackpot is at a very high $7,028.00.  The tour is returning to Schofield Bowling Center, so if you want to get in on the “Large Payouts”, be there.  Getting on Schofield is a challenge in it self, visitors are still required to enter through the Wheeler Main Gate on Kamehameha Hwy.  Please give yourself a little extra time to get through the gates.  See all of you there!!
