Tournament Wrap Up

Mystery!!

Our Mystery prizes were a hit at Pali Lanes this past weekend and fun. The mystery score was 169 and any bowler who shot that score won $100. Well, it couldn’t have happen to a better person than Paul Sur, who shot that score in the third game of the 1st squad. Of course, Paul said he shot so bad, he just walked out of the bowling center. Our Director Art Maglangit hurried out to the parking lot to tell him that he had won the mystery prize. It was all a mystery to Paul until he received his $100, then left for home. Our second mystery prize went to the person who shot the SECOND LOWEST series and that HONOR went to our 2-TIME Champion Brenda Salas. The “Booby” prize was a free reentry into the day’s tournament.

A Gem in the Pacific

I imagined it had to happen sooner or later, because she had won a tournament in the Northwest and came close a couple of times here in the Hawaii Region. The Gem is our one and only Pearl “of the Pacific” Sedeno, who now has claim to winning two tournaments, one up North and the latest in the Pacific. Our Sistah flew in from Seattle yesterday (Saturday) morning and drove straight to Pali Lanes. She then bowled in the second squad and posted her personal best score and series of 1077. Ruth Chatterton posted her personal best score of 994, the 1st squad leader, only to be beat by Pearl and a third place finisher. Solomon Chung Jr. shot his personal best score of 1025, the only other bowler to post a 1000 series, good for 2nd place. Pearl wanted to thank her husband, Raymond, for the help and support he gives her at every tournament. She also wanted to thank Pali Lanes for allowing the 9 Tap Tour to hold their tournaments at Pali and to let Rob and Marge Victor know she has finally done it again, number two.

Large Progre$$ive Pot

The Tours' return to Schofield will boast a large Progre$$ive Pot of $1,284.00, which means that the Schofield Champion may win a “Cool” $1,000 +. The 9 Tap Jackpot is at $3,926.00 and waiting to be broken. This weekend at Pali, we had three of our members, Korin Lima, Ron Daquip and Shannon Saili, come close but only to post 4 no taps and win $50 a piece.
