"Auwe, Hickam Gate Passes MIA"

It was a trying time Saturday for some of our bowlers, new and old, getting on base.  Thanks to Cliff at Hickam Bowling Center we were able to get all of our bowlers on to Hickam Base.  We still have passes for some of our Tour bowlers and if you want them you need to call Art Maglangit and arrange to pick them up if you are planning to bowl in the next Hickam tournament.  The Tour will be at Hickam for the next two (2) tournaments, October 8th and 29th, so come out and join the fun.

 Carrick wins Second Title!

In the Winners Circle for the second time is Tour veteran Emory Carrick.  Emory did not fair so well in the second squad, and after much thought he reentered the third squad telling the check-in personnel to put him anywhere that way he can blame someone for not bowling well.  Lucky for Emory, he got in a nice groove and shot lights out.  Using his Global 900 Missing Link, he shot a 1097 and nosed out our second squad leader, Dawn Daquip.  Emory joined the Tour last year at the urging of Aunty Cora Naki-Souza, the coaching of Chris Laboy of V’s Pro Shop and “Da Boyz” at Ft. Shafter and now has won two titles, Wow!! As Aunty Cora said, "Pii and I moved to the other end of the bowling alley so we wouldn't jinx him by watching, OMG it worked!"
He has been bowling for two years and thanks his wife, kids and Aunty Cora for all the support and encouragement.  He also enjoys teaching his children in activities that they participate in.  CONGRATULATIONS Emory on #2!  Our second squad leader Dawn Daquip took 2nd Place.  Dawn bowled so well, shot her best score on tour, 1048, good for  a nice payday of $510.00.  Shane Giltner, bowling in his second tournament, placed third and collected $245.00.  In all we paid out 12 places with the cut score at 957 and a total payout of $3,376.
