Another outstanding turnout by the 9-Tap bowlers, this Saturday, as we stopped at Skyway Park Bowl.  A BIG Thank You to Jeannierose, and her staff keeping the lanes running, and the bowlers fed throughout the day and night.  202 entries with 41 making the cash list. The tournament paid out $20,788 which looking back as far as 2007, was the BIGGEST pay out for any 9-Tap Tournament. 

 

The 9-Tap Jackpot was way overdue to be hit, and it was hit first thing in the morning.  Jay Pannette Money Ball was a high Brooklyn shot that left a solid 6-pin to score $8,357.  Of course many tried afterwards to try to get a share of it.  We also paid $10 throughout the day for the Front-2 9-Taps, which 38 different bowlers did.  Adam Steen accomplished the feat 4 times in two different squads to earn $40 for himself.  The 9-Tap Jackpot will be at $2,394 for next weekend's tournament. 

 

This week's champion, Bob Anderson, got in his groove in his first 3 games to shoot a 875 for his 2nd championship on the 9-Tap Tournament.  Bob, who has worked for Boeing for 28 years, wore his Dexter SST8 shoes while using his Hammer Scorpion, drilled by Dann Sanchez at Big Vinny's Pro Shop at Kent Bowl.  Bob was cheered on by his wife, Hoa, and wanted to acknowledge the bowlers on his pair, who really got his juices flowing.  Bob earned $2,906 which was the biggest check since 2013. Congratulations Bob! 

 

Earning the 2nd place slot for the 2nd time in 3 tournaments, was the veteran Earl Kleist shooting a score of 863. Earl received a nice check, $1,296 for his efforts, plus another $80 in the scratch pot to make his time at the bowling alley well worth it. 

Taking 3rd place this week was Joseph Frank, who was just 2 pins behind Earl scoring a 861.  Joseph was also looking for his 2nd Championship, coming up just short, but still earned $685 for his great shooting.
