The second quarter Championship finished with a huge 45 places making the cash list. With almost a record of 227 bowlers lacing up their shoes, just trying to make it into the finals, where all bowlers are cashers.  The Tournament payed out a whooping $15,142.00, our third largest of the year.  Sa Ruong Tang lead all quilfiers with a nice 1028 series in the final squad, with Danny Bratcher filling the last spot with 906 seriers.  Since we had a very large number of bowlers in the finals, we needed 3 Monster Rounds to widdle it down to our top 16 finshers.  To make the next round you needed to be on your game as the scoring keep growing.  The matches were all tight, where one pin could keep you from moving on.  One of the biggest events was that we had three ladies make the Elite 8, only for all to fall at this level.   

The 9 Tap-Jackpot grows again to a very nice sum of $5,505.00, with 5 bowlers hitting the front 4, sharing the prize of $40.00 each.

 2nd Quarter Champion Jeremy Price 

Sometimes it takes luck and skill to carry you to the championship, as our winner this weekend Jeremy Price showed.  Lacing up his Dexter SST6 shoes, Jeremy pulled out his Purple Hammer, drilled by Robert Kelly at Secoma Lanes, firing a nice 993 series to quilify.  Jeremy just pulled through with a three pin win over  Rob Hall 248-245 in the round of 16, and just cruised through the brackets.  In the Championship finals Jeremy started the game with the front 10, trying to tie the only other 300 game by Leon Bemes.  Jeremy stayed in the pocket but had a few erratic throws with pin carry to continue his streak of strikes.  Jeremy plans with his winnings of $2,143.00, is a Honeymoon Cruise with his wife Katrina.  Bowling is the love of his life, and bowling is everything.  Nice job for your first cash and first Championship.  

Another bowler trying for his first Championship, is 2nd place finisher, Charles Daughery.  Charles was able to match Jeremey strike for strike till the 5th frame where he left an eight count.  He averaged a nice 250 during the bracket finals just to fall other very hot bowler. His winnings of $975.00 is his highest cash yet on the tour. 

Our third and forth place finishers are also two time winners on the tour, Raymond Sedeno and Sa Roung Tang.  Sa Roung was the high quilifier of the weekend with a nice 1028 series. Raymond Sedeno just snuck in with a 919 series.  Both players just happened to be matched up with some very hot bowlers.  Both bowlers split the 3rd and 4th prize money of $424.00 each.
