Wrap Up
What a spectacular tournament this weekend at Bowlero-Acme.  There was everything one can ask for in a tournament.   Perfect score range, another first time winner, 1 pin victory, and finally the Middle 7 taps hit.  A large crowd of 156 bowlers laced up their shoes and tried their best for the Championship.  Scoring was right on par with only THREE players shooting over 1000, evenly distributed with ONE shot in each squad.   This led up to a sweet 31 bowlers making the Cash List, with scores ranging from 1028 to a low-to-cash of 869.  Our last three visits to Bowlero-Acme have led to 3 straight 1st Time Champs.  This might become a trend again, like it was last year.  In the last 7 Tourneys, we've seen FIVE first time Winners. 
 
The 9-Tap Jackpot was in peril again all day.  Not only did we pay out an nice extra $310.00 with the INSTANT $10.00 paid for the First-2 Taps.  We saw many  nice strings of Taps, including Jay Pannette lined up for a $500.00 shot at the Middle-7 Taps, but he took down all 10 pins on his 7th try.  Soon after, Pearl Sedeno followed suit with Jay, but she was able to convert the 7th Tap for a very nice $500.00 score.
 

 

Our Winner this week is First-Time Champion, Ricky Franklin.  After firing just a 168 in game one, Ricky changed to his Storm HyRoad, and just caught fire.  His 1028 series in squad 1, put a very big target on his back, as the rest of the bowlers were chasing him down, but never caught him.  This was only Ricky’s third time making the Cash List and by far best series on the Tour.  Ricky plans to use his hefty $2,207.00 win to pay bills and his other favorite things, eating and gambling.

 

Coming up just ONE PIN shy of his first Title, Cory Dawson took 2nd place.  With two 9th place finishes already in his young career on the Tour, Cory shot his 2nd best series, with a nice 1027 series.  Cory took home a huge 2nd place check of $992.00. 

Eddie Burdsall takes 3rd Place, with the third 1000 series shot Sunday, tossed an excellent 1006 series.  Coming off his second Tour Win at Bowlero-Lynnwood last month, Eddie once again made a valiant effort trying for #3, after a slow start in on his first entry of the day.  Eddie takes home another huge 3rd place check worth $545.00 this time around, after a slow start in on his first entry of the day.
