Bowlero Lynnwood
March 12th, 2022

Total Paid Out: $7,483.00

Wrap Up

Coming off our BYE week, a GREAT turnout of 120 bowlers showed up at Bowlero-Lynnwood to show off their skills for our 'BEST 3 of 4' format.  As we said earlier, Bowlero-Lynnwood has consistently provided us some ideal "Goldilocks Zone" scoring and this weekend it was again right on target.  The nice turnout created a Cash List paying to 24 places, with a high score of 835 (one of FIVE 800's) and an ideal 'Cut-Line' at 730.  We couldn't ask for a better scoring spread, with only 105 pins separating 1st to 24th.  Scoring was fast and furious right from the start, with of the 5- 800series shot in the first squad.  Early leader Chuck Hufford headed the pack at 824, followed closely by our Super Senior HOF'er Leon Bemis with his 819 series.  The only 300 shot this weekend was another HOF'er, Earl Kleist, who also took home $150.00 from the Scratch Pot for the game.  The 9-Tap Jackpot stood at a very sweet $7,479.00 to start the day.  Saturday we had not one but two bowlers trying for that elusive 7th shot for the Middle 7-Tapsand $500.00.  The unreal part was they were on the same pair of lanes and also in the same game.  Both threw nice shots that looked like they had a chance to collect.  First up was Oscar Gestoso who threw a good ball but came up high leaving a 7 count.  Oscar also fired a nice 727 series, just missing the Cash List.  Second up a few frames later was Malou Aninion, who threw a perfect ball but got no carry leaving an count.  Malou was on all day and finished with a nice 764 series to finish in 9th place.  Andy Snow captured the Consolation Bonus with the Front-5 Taps, accomplished in the first squad , taking home a nice $250.00 prize.   Andy also fired one of the 800 series (807), finishing in 5th place for another $205.00.  Huge shootout to Bradly Jeffries, 8th, Travis Washington, 11th, and Joseph Keomany, 22nd, for making the cash list their first time on the tour.

Earning his second Title, Mike Miller is our Champion this week at Bowlero-Lynnwood.  Mike's other win was at Hiline Lanes back in Nov. of 2019.  Mike also has a number of Top 5 finishes, including a 2nd place finish, along with two 3rd places.  Mike laced up his Dexter shoes and his new Roto Grip UFO Alert, drilled by Charles Cunningham at Westside Lanes in Olympia and he proceeded to light up the lanes.  Returning recently from bowling the Military Tournament in Las Vegas, Mike decided on getting some new balls, obviously the decision is already showing him some great returns.  Mike, along with his daughter Heather & her husband Brett, travel from Kitsap County to nearly every Tournament... this week it was via the Kingston Ferry.  He was undecided if he was even going to bowl this weekend, but he passed up a Kitsap Association Tourney to join the kids in Lynnwood.  He fired off a GREAT 835 series, with Heather & Brett cheering him on along the way.  Some of his hefty payday of $2,000.00 is already earmarked for some new bowling shoes, to go with those new balls.  Since his retirement from Federal Services of 38 years, he says he likes his relaxing time.

Mike Miller - Bowerlo-Lynnwood Champion

2nd place went to Tour Veteran Chuck Hufford, who had the lead after the first squad and was looking for his 5th Tour Title.  The winner of the Year-End Championship back in 2019, Chuck fired his nice 824 series in the first squad.  Chuck has periodically gone on Cashing binges (Hot Streaks), like his two titles in 2019, each surrounded by streaks of making the Cash List.  Chuck was one of the more consistent bowlers this weekend firing games of 233, 220 and 242.  The $500.00 Chuck earned for 2nd place, pushes Chuck's career Winnings to $19,668.00, getting him very near reaching the $20,000.00 CLUB!!

Finishing in 3rd was HOF'er and two time Bowler-of-the Year, James Black.  The time Winner, re-entered after getting lined up in the 1st squad.  After shooting just a 644 series, he dialed in, firing off an impressive 820 series.  Another consistent bowler, James shot games of 288, 246 and a 265.  With his winnings of $450.00 this week, James is making a move on another career milestone... the $50,000.00 CLUB, currently sitting at $46,574.00.
