Wrap Up
We THANK all those who traveled up north to Kenmore Lanes, where we had a nice turnout, perfect 'Goldilocks Zone' scoring and a huge number of new Members!!  124 entries were vying for 25 places on the Cash List, while trying to attack the huge 9-Tap Jackpot.  The popularity of the Tour continues to grow, as evidenced by the SIXTEEN new bowlers we welcomed Sunday.  With just three scores cracking the 1000 level and a very nice low-to-cash 'Cut-Line' of 902, the scoring was truly spot-on.  Our last two visits to Kenmore saw THREE attempts at the "Golden Shot" for the 9-Tap Jackpot.  Well, Sunday one bowler did get close to the Middle-7 when Walt Dalrymple hit on 6 of 7 Taps that he needed for $750.00.  Walt said a wobbly 7-pin just wouldn't fall or he'd have had it.

 

The day finished with two bowlers getting the Front-4 Taps, Sa Ruong Tang & Earl Kleist each take home an additional $150.00 for their strings.  The 9-Tap Jackpot grows to a massive $9,067.00 for what's expected to be a HUGE Veterans Day Tournament at Bowlero Lanes in Lakewood next Saturday.

 
Kare Tong continued the 2022 trend, becoming this year's 19th, First-Time CHAMPION.  Kare has had many near misses over the last 5 years, with numerous Top 5 finishes, including THREE 2nds & THREE 3rd Place close calls.  Sometimes, trying too hard can make reaching a goal more challenging.  Having his family members, Kannha & Kris reach the Top Spot first, only made his determination stronger.  As family often does, Kannha & Kris were Kare's biggest supporters, as they bowled together like they usually do.  Sunday, Kare once again found himself in 2nd place after the 1st squad, with a fine 958, which would have held up for 7th Place.  As well as Kare was shooting, he decided to re-enter.  Obviously a good decision, since he upped his score to a GREAT 1046 series, winning by 13 pins.  He was pretty excited to finally break the ice.  BUT, he is still chasing Kris who now has 2 Titles and Kannha who has 3 Titles... there's always another challenge awaiting!!  Kare takes home a sweet check of $1,805.00, which he plans on spending with his wife.

Also just missing out on his first Title, Montana Xaysana took down his impressive THIRD, 2nd Place finish.  At Roland Jarata's Memorial a few days earlier, Montana expressed his appreciation for all his advice and encouragement, saying he was determined to win one in his honor.  Impressively, he came within 13 pins of fulfilling that promise.  Coupled with his 14th Place last week, Montana seems to be breaking out of a little slump.  Firing his nice 1033 series in the final squad, Montana seems to be heating up.  Maybe the start of a streak!  His super 2nd Place finish earned him a nice check of $822.00.
 
3rd Place goes to a 7-time Champion and Hall of Famer, Bob Rouse.  Being out of the winner's circle since 2017, Bob made a great run for his 8th Title, firing a nice 1000 series.  A regular on the Tour for many years, Bob often makes the Cash List in streaks. Hope this starts a new one.  Bob takes home a nice check for $431.00, edging his earnings closer to reaching the $50,000.00 CLUB, currently at an awesome $46,334.00.
