Wrap Up
Even with the loosening up of Covid 19 protocols from the Governor, we at the 9 Tap Tour would like to thank all our members for being 100% wearing masks in support of each other.  Even when dozens who could have avoided wearing the masks, they wore them, a testimony to the Quality of the Members in theTour family.  Scores were absolutely perfect, exactly on target 3 bowlers topped 1000 and a 'Cut-Line' at 936.  Entries continue to bounce back pointing toward a big 2nd Quarter Championship Memorial Day weekend. There were 2 BIG Jackpot runs falling just short.  Ashley Kochel had Taps in 8 of the Front-9 frames and Earl Kleist had a shot for $500, with 6 -Middle Taps followed by a real strike for his seventh.  We had one winner, Andy Snow with the front 5 Taps for $ 250.00.  John Moore Jr was the winner of both the Scratch high series and high game pots.

Our Secoma Champion this week is Carla Rivera, shooting her career best game of 274, finishing with a fine 1015 series. This tops her previous best finish of 3rd place, bring home a nice $1,738.00 check.  Using her Hammer Pink Widow, drilled by Pat Johns at Hiline Lanes, she was able to pull it all together.  She was hesitant to bowl Saturday due to a thumb injury, but overcame her ailment to Win by just TWO PINS!  She would like to thank her number one fan Ed Berg and friend Tim Fierro for putting up with her all day.  Enjoy your steak dinner with your winnings, CONGRATS Carla!!

Both 2nd & 3rd Place each took advantage of re-entries to move up the standings.  Finishing 2nd was Brett Schaaf with a nearly enough to Win (2 pins short), finally breaking-out from his slump with a great 1013 series.  Brett's now joined the ranks of the '$10,000.00 CLUB', in his short Tour career, with earnings now reaching $10,105.00.  He finally got lined up Saturday in his last two games, climbing to a 1013 total and riding into second worth a sweet $795.00 payday.

'Mr. Drama' John Moore Jr, nursing a bad knee and refusing to quit, re-entered again and made it a very dramatic finish, shooting a 300 game to boost himself into 3rd place with a strong 1002 series.  The ALWAYS upbeat John, collected $375.00 in Prize Money to go with the $300.00 he earned from the Scratch Pot, plus a little moore from Brackets & HG Pot. Pretty nice day we'd say!!
