It was very nice of Judy Snow to bring an awesome "Bringing back Bowling" cake for everyone to enjoy. It was very tasty, I must say. This weekend was the first of our 4 squads of bowling. The scoring was all over the place, but everyone who bowled 900 and above made the Cash List, with only two scores over 1000. There were a few feats to witness today. Ken Seaton had left and unusual split, the 8,9,10, almost the whole back row of pins. How he converted it, I don't know, nice job Ken. We also had Jesse McReynolds make a run at a NATURAL 300 game with the front 10 strikes. Great effort there Jesse!
The 9 Tap Jackpot had a few tries at the middle 7, with many getting 5 in a row. The first two squads had three tied at 3 strikes. Peter Novak then lead with 4 in-a-row, but in the final squad Bob Rouse got the front 5 with a strike in the 6th. With this, Bob takes home a sweet $250.00 in Cash.
Our Narrows Plaza Champion this week is James Black, Tour Hall of Fame (HOF) Member, earning his 6th Tour Title. He is the Tour's #5 All-Time on the Career Earnings list, now at $43,331.00... he said before the Tournament, that his goal is to catch his buddy Samson Ibale who's #1 (Samson's lead is still pretty substantial). After shooting an 881 in a earlier squad James re-entered and fired off a nice 1048 series. Using his Hammer Urethane, drilled by Chad Turner at Bowlero-Lynnwood (Majestic), he got lined up and got into that zone. He liked to thank his girlfriend, Fana, and Thang Thai and Zac Clute for cheering him on. His plan for his winning is to use at the Nationals Event next month at South Point. Nice job and get into that zone at the Nationals. His first place finish won him $1,928.00 and additionally another $130.00from the Scratch Pot.
