Our Champion this week is one of our newer Members. Jimmy Tang joined the Tour last April. After struggling with just one Cash, Jimmy persevered, putting it ALL together this week, firing an awesome 1050 in the first squad. He was able to avoid any big mistakes, actually getting hotter game after game. He said that making his spares was his problem in the past tournaments, and that was his biggest improvement. Using his AMF Incinerate, drilled by Pat Johns, he was able to hang around the pocket and avoided any nasty splits. He would like to thank Skip Shear for giving him some advise on making his spares and Phil Pasqua for introducing him to the 9-Tap Tour. This is Jimmy's career best day all around, setting his best series by 63 pins & high game by 21 pins. Looks like everything came together today for Jimmy, and shows that anyone can have a career day at anytime. Obviously, with ZERO dollars in the Progressive Pot, Jimmy didn't enter the Tourney expecting a Top Finish, much less taking the Title. He still takes home his all time best payday of $1,000.00. Jimmy plans on saving some of the winnings for an upcoming family wedding in Hawaii.
