Kent Bowl
June 16th, 2021

Total Paid Out: $5,394.00

Wrap Up
First, the tour would like to wish all the DADS a HAPPY FATHER'S DAY.  Squad sizes were much smaller this weekend.  It being Father's Day weekend and this first sunny Saturday, many people probably took advantage of the nice weather.  The final squad had the largest turnout, outnumbering the first four squads.   More than a dozen bowlers topped 500 for their 2 games, but Ed LeBaron's 554 &  Will Twyman's 544 led the way as the highest 2 game sets in the Tourney.  On to the 9 tap jackpot, we had no one get close to the minimum of 3 taps in the first four squads.  This would have been the first time no one got the 3 taps needed in a tournament.  Will Twyman was able to put  3-Taps on the board in his first game of the final squad.  SIX bowlers took advantage of the Multi-Cash feature, led by Jarad Burdine and Ed LeBaron both bowling very well and cashing 3 times each. The Dad's pot was a wild event. Scoring started out slow and kept climbing after each squad. Jarad Burdine high game came in the final squad and his final game. He started with the front 10 in a row, finishing with a 279 scratch.

Our Kent Lanes Double Champions are Ed Lebaron and Mike Crowe. They combined for a 1036 series and split the top prize of $1,496.00. Its very hard to get both bowlers in sinc and stayed lined up, to shoot 519 and 517

Ed LeBaron was definitely lined up on Saturday!!  He shot over 500 in back-to-back entries, those combined scores would have easily been enough to win most of our Singles events.  Ed's biggest previous score, earned him a 'Top Qualifier'Jacket, back in March at the 1st Quarter Championship, but not his first Title. Staying in the groove this weekend,  Ed finally took down that FIRST TOUR TITLE, after 2 years of trying!! Using his Storm Proton Physix and Matchup, he said he felt calm all day and stayed lined up. With his winnings of $748.00, he says "That will buy a lot of diapers and a nice dinner with girlfriend Alyssa."

Mike Crowe, like his Doubles Partner Ed LeBaron,  has also been on the Tour for 2 years, though he hadn't bowled as regularly.  Mike also earned his FIRST TOUR TITLE, timing his best score of his three entries  519, to match up with LeBaron's 517, to Win by a 28 pin margin. Using his Radical Conspiracy Pearl, he and Ed got lined together and fired off a great 1036 series. Hopefully  your winnings of $748.00 can help in your woodworking and fishing.

Our second place finishers are Alec Chandler and Ed LeBaron.  Alec shot a solid 454 at the right time, pairing with Ed LeBaron second 500 of the day to run away with 2nd Place by 26 pins.  Alec did quite well in only his 4th entry on the Tour, setting the bar high for his future Tour accomplishments!  Alec & Ed posted the only other 1000 score of the day, with their sweet 1008. Ed's second place got him another $375.00 and Alec, who did not get in the winners pot, took home $238.00.

Our third place finishers are Donnie Roberts and Jarad Burdine. Donnie at the last minute decided to reenter with Jarad. This was a great decision as they both got lined up and shot a fine 982 series.  Jarad was on a roll and shot one of the highest series this weekend.  Jarad's last game he was locked in and fired off the front 10 only to spare in the eleventh for a 279. His High game, 307 w/hcdp also earned him  $180.00 as the Winner of the Dad's Day Pot. With the third place finish they split $420.00, each receiving $210.00.
