Our Winner this week and first time Champion is Zac Clute. Zac's highest finish to date had been a FOUR 3rd place efforts, but was never able to crack that Top spot. At our 3QC two weeks ago he had a chance to win (3rd Place), but lost out by just TWO pins to the eventual Champion KaiPedro. This week, Zac was the leader after the first squad with a nice 992 series, but that score got knocked off in the second squad. So Zac, not satisfied to be in 2nd, re-entered in the third squad to try and get that lead back. He fired off a really sweet 1021 series (only 1000 all day) to retake the lead, then during the fourth squad Zac could be seen pacing back and forth wondering if his score would hold up. He had many scares, with several bowlers shooting some fantastic two game sets, but none managed to knock off that big target on his back. Using his new Purple Hammer, drilled by Jeff Knapp at Kenmore Lanes, Zac was just in a zone this weekend, or as he says “I just got in the groove”. He would like to thank his buddy James Black for cheering him on. Zac takes home a very nice check of $2,139.00, which he plans on saving. Congratulations Zac on your first Tour Championship.
A big shout out to Calvin Fisher who was our Top Qualifier in the 3rd Quarter Championship at Daffodil Lanes two weeks ago. Calvin shot a very nice 1035 series and was presented his Certificate for a new STORM bowling ball of his choice. Congratulations Cal on your very fine effort.
