Wrap Up

We hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July bye. Lots of BBQ's and fireworks, with no missing fingers.  This was the first time I (Harold) have been to Bowlero-Lynnwood and thought it was a very nice facility.  Even though we had a few glitches with the Computer, we thank everyone for your patience to resolve them. With that being said, the scoring ranges were again in our ideal range.  This has been the norm since returning from our Covid layoff.  Early on, David Kim fired off a nice 1030 series, and wore a target on his back for the rest of the day.  He withstood several attempts to dethrone him from that top spot the rest of the day.  With the 9-Tap Jackpot over $5,600.00 we had a few bowlers make a run of the middle 7 Taps.  Erma Tappe had a try with 5 taps followed by a 8 count with one pin wiggling and refusing to fall.  Brad Diemert also had 5 taps followed up with 2 real strikes. Earl Kleist came close again with 6 taps but finished with a real strike for the 7th.  Nice try folks, maybe next week it will fall.  Bob Rouse again finished with the front 4 and won the $100.00 Bonus. . 

 
 
This weeks Champion is David Kim.  David was a Tour owner for several years till 2014, but could not bowl during that time.  He first joined as a Member in 2009, and has earned over $18,000.00.  He had been in a bit of a drought, but lately he's been HOT, now Cashing in 5 straight tournaments.  He has been close to his second Tour Title numerous times, but he held on today, using his Hammer Web Tour, drilled by Brian Trubird at Suncoast, Las Vegas.  David ripped a fine 1030 series (his best since 2018), earning him a nice Champs check of $1,809.00.  He plans on using his winnings to bowl in Reno and collect his retirement money from the Casinos.  David also hit the 9-Tap Jackpot in 2016 for $6,576.00, which isn't even included in his $18,123.00 in Career earnings.
 

Second place winner is Brad Diemert.  Shooting a fine 1020 series, also early in the day, his second best series on the Tour, he fell just short of the top spot this time.  Brad shot his All-Time High 279 in his 4th game with the final 11 strikes in-a-row, vaulting him into 2nd Place.  Proving, not to think you're out of it, when you still have a shot.  This is his best tour finish, but his second game of 189 held him back.  Very fine effort Brad.  His fine performance got him a healthy $814.00 check.

 
Eddie Burdsall had his eye on the target on David Kim's back.  With his first two games of 277 and 266, he was in the running.  It came down to his last game, needing ONE strike in the tenth frame to take over the top spot.  Instead, his shot came in a little high, leaving him a very costly split, dropping him to a third place finish.  Shooting the days third 1000 series of 1011, his third place finish earned him a nice check of $391.00.
