Total Paid Out: $11,743.00

Wrap Up

As predicted in last Wednesday's newsletter, January's record of 182 entries was beaten, what surprised us was by how much!!!  155 individual bowlers combined to produce a Record Shattering 208 Doubles Teams... which, in turn, created an Impressive Cash List 42 teams long... Most Impressive was the Total Paid-Out as we shelled out $11,743.00, smashing January's total by $1,233.00!

Prior to the 1st Squad, we presented Bob Matlock with his Champion's shirt and if you didn't see, his shirt reads Robert "Just Bob" Matlock.  Bob said that around 25 years ago he was involved in Boy Scout training where there were several Bob's" so he was dubbed as  "Just Bob" and the nickname kind of stuck.

For the Dad's Day Pot, high game w/handicap was the goal, $480was collected, we kicked in another $200 for a total of $680 as a red hot Willie Downing took the top spot with a 301 game for$205 followed by Edd Smith's 300 earning himself $165Dan Watts shot a  285 for $130Reuben Pedro's 281 got him $100 and to round out the Top 5, Ed Berg broke a 3-way tie by shooting a 273 for $80Great shooting Dad's!!!

The 9-Tap Jackpot had no takers, however TEN bowlers tied with 3 taps for the consolation earning $50 each for Jan MacDonald, Tim Fierro, Edd Smith, Jeff Armour, Amy Salmo, Earl Kleist, Willie Downing, Jon Schneider, Tong Nguyen & Barb Rosengren. Even with $500 paid out, the Jackpot jumped back up over the $8k mark making it $8,087.00 for next week at Daffodil Bowl!!!

The name of the game in Doubles with the Tour is 'Multi-Cash' and check out the numbers!!!  We had 19 bowlers cashing multiple times with Andy Snow doing it 8 timesDonna Columbo/7, Ed Berg/5, Skip Shear/5, 'Bowler of the Year' standings leader,Dan Grass/4, Ashley Kochel/4, Amy Salmo/4, Tim Fierro/4,Thang Thai/4, Chris Andreula/4, Willie Manning, Jr./4,LeFear Richardson/3, Dan Watts/3, Reuben Pedro/3,Patrick Dennis/3 and four others with two!

A bunch of bowlers are on 'Hot Streaks':  This week's title winners,Ashley Kochel & Reuben Pedro have been VERY HOT recently... Ashley stayed 'Hot' after finally Winning her first Title last week, she gets her 3rd Top 10 in-a-row while her partner Reuben won his first Title which was also his 3rd Top 10 Finish in-a-row!  Amy SalmoWon her first Title almost exactly 1 year ago and added another in September, this marks her highest finish since then. Skip Shearalso remains HOT after Winning just last month. Tim Fierro on the other hand, had his best finish in 2018.

More on our Winners...Ashley used her Storm 'Intense' ball drilled by Scott Halverson and will be taking her share of the $2,046.00 1st Place check to Great Wolf Lodge where her three boys aged 10, 8 & 4 will likely be having a blast! Ashley, a MultiCare Nurse herself, mentioned that she credits her inspiration from her Mom, Valerie and her Grandmother, Jean who are both battling stage 4 cancer. Ashley, we wish you and them all the best!  Congratulations!

Mr. Pedro wore his Dexter SST shoes and used his Storm 'Fire Storm' ball drilled by Robert Kelly at Peter Somoff's Pro Shop at Secoma Lanes and said he had no immediate plans for spending the money except that he'll be spending plenty of time with his Grandkids. Reuben & Ashley both wanted to thank their friends & family along with their fellow bowlers for all the support!
