Congratulations to our very first Thanksgiving weekend 'Trios' Team Event Champs!  Mitch Johns, Sr., Dan Grass & Tim Fierro averaged over 250 (w/hdcp) in their combined 12 games for a Team score of 3030 to take the title at Narrows Plaza Bowl!  This was the first title for Johns & Grass with Fierro cashing in for his 2nd win in just over a month!  More on the Champs further down... 

We weren't sure what to expect when we decided to run a team event, but reaction and turnout was positive as 38 teams were put together throughout the day which allowed us to pay out to 8 spots (24 individual).  Two of the teams were from Yakima, another three from Port Orchard while, in order to help folks in need of a bowler for a team, Margie & Lynn stepped in and bowled themselves! Margie even beat Tong the 'Legend' in a couple of games also sharing $100.00 with Paul Mann as they both hit the front four 9 taps.  

Three bowlers cashed twice, including Dan Grass (1st & 3rd), Paul Mann (6th & 7th) & Reno Antonsen (also 6th & 7th).  Dex DeCastro took the scratch game & series pots for $300.00 to go with his 2nd Place finish with teammatesBilly Rucker & John Sisavath, as they shared $1,044.00 for $348 each). 

Champions Grass & Fierro were around when we finished up while Johns had departed earlier which explains why we weren't able to get a photo of all three together. As we mentioned, Mitch's title was his first as he's been a regular on the Tour for about 15 months now with his previous best finishes being two 3rd Place's earlier this year. We weren't able to reach Mitch for further comment but we DO know that he is aware of the win.  Congratulations, Mitch!  

Mr. Grass has come close many times since joining the Tour more than three years ago.  In fact, he has TWELVE previous Top 5 finishes, including two 2nd's, three 3rd's, three 4th's and four 5th's!  Safe to say a win has been a long time coming!  Dan used his Storm 'Internal Fire' ball drilled by Robert at Dan's coach's Peter Somoff's Pro Shop. Dan will use his winner's share for more bowling equipment and said "I felt energized, had to take extra breath and get low!" Congratulations, Dan!
