What an impressive show YOU, our Tour Members put on as we traveled to Kenmore Lanes on Saturday for our 'Best 3 of 4' format! It's been a couple of years since we've welcomed so many new bowlers as this week we added TWELVE new Members! We had SIX bowlers break the 800 mark this week with Warren Schierman & Brian Kuykendall firing matching 828's to tie for 4th Place followed by Karol Knight and her superb performance with 827 in solo 6th! Nice shooting you three! Willie Manning, Jr., put together a Super day as he wrapped things up with a 300 game, nearly stealing away another Title! Willie settled for 2nd Place with his 837 set and took home a check for $921.00 along with another $195.00 from the Scratch Pot. Bowling alongside Mr. Manning and just FIVE pins back wasDenise Schwendeman who put together her best Tour performance to date with a 3rd Place 832! a very excited Denise netted herself $465.00 on the day...Great job Willie & Denise! We hadn't seen Rob Blaisdell on the Tour for more than a year, but boy did he make a GRAND reappearance and his bowling has obviously improved since we last saw him! Rob credits his equipment but we all know that it's also between the ears where it counts! Kenmore is Rob's 'Home House' and he certainly impressed everyone with his HUGE 858 set, proving that: "Staying calm, focused and enjoying myself" made the difference this week! Using his Columbia 'Tyrant' ball drilled by Jeff Knapp at Kenmore, Rob gave a shout out to Jeff along with new Tour bowler, Luke Victor and friend Colleen Zamenik who was on hand to support him. With the year+ layoff, Rob wasn't able to put $20 into the Progressive Pot, but his $10 earned him an extra$526 as his final check was for $1,526.00 and he said he has no special plans for the earnings other than to use it for "More Tourneys!" Great bowling, Rob and thank you for your continuing support of the Tour! Pearl Sedeno was the only bowler able to string a few 9-Taps as she started her day with four in a row earning $100.00 for the Jackpot Consolation. BOTH Pots grew significantly for our 1st Quarter Championship at Secoma Lanes IN TWO WEEKS as the Progressive Pot will stand at $2,177.00 while the 9-Tap Jackpot approaches the $3k mark at $2,840.00! |
