What a Great turnout for the Tour as we paid our first visit of 2016 to Kent Bowl!  It was a classic case of feast or famine on the lanes as 116 entries brought 23 bowlers to the Cash List with a slightly low 'Cut Line' of 892. 

 

One of the stories that developed during the day was the question of whether or not the 9-Tap Jackpot would be hit and if it wasn't hit, would it climb over the $8,000.00 mark???  Well, the latter proved to be true at the end of the day as James Black was able to hit the front 5-Taps late in the day to earn himself $250.00.  The Jackpot indeed climbed and sits at $8,104.00 for next week which unlocks bigger cash amounts as you can see here and we'll explain it more in Wednesday's Newsletter/email:

 

 

Kathy Johnson started the day and set the pace as she fired an impressive & solid 1000 series, which is her best since last Summer .  Kathy wound up the day in 4th Place.  It was a tale of the two Dan's for 2nd Place this week as it was first Dan Elliottshooting his 1036 in the 2nd Squad, followedby Dan Watts a little later, posting the very same score and for a time, there was a distinct possibility of a rare tie for the Title...It wasn't long, about 15 minutes or so later when down

on lanes 1&2, Adrienne Summers was putting the finishing touches on her big day as she held on late in her final game to post a 1046, stealing away the Title from the two Dan's.  Elliott & Watts both earned $624.00 for their efforts.  Great shooting, Gentlemen!

 

This is Adrienne's 2nd Kent & 3rd overall Tour Title, earning herthe white champ's jersey as well as a hefty $1,812.00 pay date, putting her just $29.00 shy of entering the $10,000.00 Club.  Adrienne used her Storm 'Lock' ball drilled by Bill Hoskins from Right Angle Pro Shopand she says "He's the best!"  She wanted to thank her lane mates, Tara & James Strand along with Steve Wilson and congratulated the aformentioned "Two Dan's" for their results and respective great day's, saying "I felt good after game #3 but was extremely nervous and was actually shaking in the last game".  Adrienne said "I love the 9-Tap Tour, it's my vacation!" adding "My husband, Phil and daughter, Sara are really excited for me.  Our friend, Steve Hickam has helped Phil & I with our game and equipment choices and we thank him as well!"  When asked about her plans for spending her winnings, Adrienne said it will help with their bathroom remodel and  towards celebrating her mother-in-law, Lois' Birthday!  Outstanding Day, Adrienne, Congratulations!
