 With a Rainy & Windy Pacific Northwest day, Narrows Plaza Bowl must have been the place to be on Saturday as the building was packed with Kegler's throughout the entire day! In all, there were 116 Entries which produced a wide-open Tournament with 23 Bowlers making the Cash List with scores ranging from 927 to 1083. Normal scoring would typically produce 3-5 scores over the 1000 mark, this week we had a total of SIX with 1000's coming from every Squad!
In the 12:00 Squad we had a very pleasant surprise showing from two of
 our Hawaii Region bowlers, Lani Hanato-Figueredoand her husband, Thomas. Amazingly, Tom & Lani along with their three kids made the drive ALL THE WAY from Colorado Springs, CO where Lani had recently been reassigned. How about THAT for dedicated Tour Bowlers???The 9-Tap Jackpot continues to be under assault as two more bowlers had their chance at throwing one ball for the 'Middle 7' Taps and a$500.00 Pay Day. Although in both cases the attempts weren't successful, the Jackpot still managed to pay out $400.00 as Leon Bemis,Ken Seaton, Andy Victorio and Joe Fincher all hit the 'Front 4' Taps for a Consolation of $100.00 each. The Jackpot DID manage to grow slightly to $6,905.00 for next week at Imperial Lanes in Seattle.
Osmond Green had day for himself as he was looking for his 4th Career
 Title, shooting a 1033 series at the same site of his last Win a couple of months back in the 2014 Year-End Championship. This time, however, there were two others who found themselves even Hotter than the 'Powerful Oz'. As a result of the $495.00Pay Day, Osmond put himself into the History Books, entering the Prestigious $20,000.00 Club at$20,403.00.Rolan Jarata seems to enjoy bowling at Narrows Plaza, both having won
 there AND having hit the 9-Tap Jackpot there for $5,613.00. This week, the 2014 Hall Of Fame Inductee fired a 'Superstar' 1074 series in the 2:30Squad and was lined up for his 7th Career Title only to get knocked into 2nd Place by a mere 9 pins at the very last minute. Jarata pocketed $949.00 for his 2nd Place finish, adding to his very impressive resume'.Tears of Joy were flowing after our Latest Champ, Barb Rosengren realized that she had "Done It". Once she realized that she had won, she
Barb used both her DV8 'Outcast' and Brunswick 'Strike King' balls drilled by Dave Hanson and said she "Loves bowling".
After collecting her $2,122.00 check, Barb said that she almost decided to stay home this week because she has been battling a nasty cold. Lucky for Barb, that she showed up because now the retired Purdy Corrections Officer can use her winnings to take her daughter, Mandy and granddaughter, Lorelei on a Florida vacation in July.
Finally, Barb wanted to thank everyone, especially her husband, Paul along with Tara & James Strand for rooting her on. Well Done, Barb!
