 Even though we used our exact same oil pattern, unique lane conditions somewhat ruled the day as Skyway Park Bowl was inspected earlierSaturday morning for Lane Certification. Because of this, the lanes had to be double stripped which proved to make it a little tougher than usual resulting in only one bowler breaking the 1000 mark as well as a lower than average Cut-line of 907. With exactly 100 entries, there were 20 bowlers on the Cash List with the day's total payout at $6,644.00.
Jerry Hendrickson with 4-Taps was the consolation winner for the 9-Tap Jackpot and earned $100.00 for the feat. The 9-Tap Jackpot for next week's 'Best 3 of 4' Tournament at Daffodil Bowl increased to $2,851.00 while the Progressive Pot now stands at $1,744.00.
Very much worth mentioning is that Tour Member, Jordan Ousley was on hand to bowl despite the fact that he had just attended his wedding rehearsal. The wedding is to take place today (Sunday) and we'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate Jordan and his bride, Shavonna!
Tour Rookie, Rod Elliott who joined just a few weeks ago, made his first time Cashing a BIG one as he finished in 2nd Place, shooting a very nice Personal Best of 966, taking home $905.00. Just 4 pins back of Elliott was another Tour Rookie, Eric Pope who on a re-entry in the4:30 Squad, posted his Personal Best of 962. Eric joined the Tour back in June, this was his first time Cashing as well and he earned a nice $453.00. Nice shooting, Rookies!!
Saturday was "Just my lucky day" according to our latest Champ, Thang Duc Thai who described his performance as one of his best ever. This
 turns out to be true as he was TWO pins shy of his Personal Best. Thang was the only bowler to break the 1000 mark as after he lined himself up in the 1st Squad at 12:00, he re-entered for the 2nd Squad at 2:00 and went on to shoot what turned out to be the day's Top score of 1043. This is Title #2 for Thai and with a Pay-day of $2,013.00, this pushes him into the Elite $10,000.00 Club as he now sits at $11,475.00 in Career earnings. Thang also had a previous Elite Division Title back in 2012 to go with his previous 'Regular' Tour title which he earned last year at HiLine Bowl.Thang used his Storm 'Zero Gravity' ball which he had drilled at Roxbury Bowl and says that he plans to buy surprise gifts for his family with his winnings.
