Even with all of the Veteran's Day Competition and Excitement, there was also plenty of Regular Tournament Action on Saturday as the Tour returned toParadise Bowl for our 9th Annual Veteran's Day Special Tournament.  For the day, there were 101 Total Entries as 20 bowlers made their way to the Cash List with the 'Cut-Line' somewhat higher than usual at 956.  Bruce Gorr & Kris Colburn both managed to hit the front 3 9-taps to earn $25.00 each and the 9-Tap Jackpot grew to $5,765.00, edging closer to the $6,000.00 mark which will trigger another payout sweetner. 

This week's Top 4 all have the distinction of their first name's starting with the letter B and have therfore been dubbed as the 'Killer Bee's'.  Finishing in 4th Place is Barb Rosenren who fired an impressive 1037 and earned $210.00.  Next and finishing in 3rd Place is Bill Jones who shot 1047, earned $406.00and continues to pursue his First Title, now having three 3rd and one 4th Place finishes in recent weeks.  Not bad for a guy who's facing hip replacement next month!  Finishing in 2nd Place this week and arguably the Tour's hottest bowler is our next 'Killer Bee', Bronson Etse.  Bronson has been working hard on his game and it shows in his fast climbing average.  This was an impressive run for Etse who, in going for his 2nd Title, entered all three squads on Saturday, posting the 1049 in his final attempt, earning $812.00 in addition to the Top Spot in the Vet's Day Pot where he earned another $390.00. 

The next and final member of the 'Killer Bees' and this week's Champion is Bob Berryman.  Bob joined the Tour back in 2009 and this is his 2nd Title, having won at HiLine Lanes back in 2013.  After beginning with what he called a "So-So 1st game" 184, it's safe to say that Bob got VERY HOT, blazing a trail to a very impressive 1057 series including starting his 2nd game with 8 REAL strikes!  With the $1,780.00 pay day, Bob boosted his career earnings to $13,261.00.  Bob said that he's been bowling for 30+ years and primarily used his Storm 'Reign of Fire' ball drilled by Fred Mattson at Narrows Plaza Bowl.  Interesting point, Bob said "I never use that ball, it never sees the light of day".  Lucky for Mr. Berryman that it saw some light on Saturday as he now earns the Red Champion's Shirt.  Bob wanted to thank the Tour and his "fellow lane mates" for their support and says that with his winning's this week, he'll save it for his daughter, Blayne's wedding next Summer.  Congratulations go out to Bob and again, a HUGE THANK YOU to all of the Veterans out there!
