The Tour enjoyed an incredibly exciting return to Pacific Lanes on Saturdaywhich proved to be a nail biter to the end for our eventual Champ, Nikki Blase!  Nikki joined the Tour earlier this year and was recently in a bit of aslump after a 2nd Place showing in her very first tournament back in July.  She was very happy that she could share this victory with her husband, Brian who bowled alongside her as well as her #1 fan, (and daughter) Izzy who was there to cheer her on.  She does most of her bowling at Secoma Lanes which is where she got her “Sparkly Purple” plastic MD ball drilled by Robert Kelly.  With a very nice $2,000 winner’s check she plans to buy new balls for herself and her family as well as doing some Holiday shopping. 

Kristen Lee, who joined the Tour in the Summer of 2012 posted her personal best series by 35 pins (1022) and a very nice 2nd Place finish.  Kristen made it exciting as she was running late, called the front desk for directions and amazingly walked in the door at 5:08 while the Final Squad was already in practice…she didn’t even get to throw a practice shot! Way to go, Kristen!

It’s not unusual for our earlier shift lead qualifiers to hang around the scoring table, pacing about the bowling center and asking the orange shirts if anyone has a chance to beat them.  Saturday, however Nikki qualified in the 2nd squad and even though she posted a personal best 1030 score, she opted to bowl again in the last squad but was very aware that Kristen, James Strand, Ganny Angelesand Mike Seaton and others were all making significant runs at her score.  Seaton’s 3rd Place finish was his very impressive 3rd top three finish in the last five weeks and moved him above $12,000.00 in career earnings since joining the tour in 2008.

Congrats also to Del Wiggins who hit the front five 9-Taps in the 1st Squad, earning himself a nice $250 pay day in addition to his 7th place finish, nice shootin, Del!
