Wrap Up

Great day at Suncoast

Here we are at the halfway point of the year.

We just watched the Progressive pot grow again, which as everyone can see it goes up and down each week.  Last Sunday at Suncoast it was at $990.00, which was a drop from the previous week.  This scenario changes the 1st prize total each week, along with the total entries for the day plays into the prize fund.  So, for our next outing at Sam’s Town the Progressive Pot will be up to $1068.00.

This week once again the 9-Tap Jackpot held strong again to only allow 1 member to hit the front 3 all day.  He managed to hit the front 3 NO TAPS in the first squad and holding it all day. CongratsNorris Montague for hitting the only front 3 no taps all day.  We did have a couple members hit the front 2, but getting a solid strike in the 3rd frame, and coming back with 3 more no taps in the 4th, 5th and 6th frame.  That dreaded 3rd frame solid strike will get you every time.

The 9-Tap Jackpot was sitting at $2103.00 last Sunday at Suncoast, and now has grown up to a very nice $2309.00

We had a very fun day on Sunday at Suncoast, once again Becky and her crew did an outstanding job to keep us rolling.

Our winner this week is not only a old Puget Sound member, but is also a old returning member of the Las Vegas tour as well.  He has been here as long as members like Ann McGee, Norris Montague, Greg Mamac, Bruce Smith, Mark Kight, ect.  His member number is #10 here in the Vegas region.  From what I can remember he has won 1 other time and that was in the Puget Sound Region.  He has taken a lot of time off from bowling because of injuries, surgeries, ect.  He is a great guy to talk to and be around, smiling and having a positive attitude.

Congratulations, to Louis Catiller for getting over the hump to overcome all the injuries, healing, and hard work to make it back and win your first Championship with us here in Las Vegas.  He walked in tightening up his Dexter SST9 shoes, cleaning up his ball and got ready to roll.  Our friends over at Haynes Bowling Supply, drilled up his Vertual Energy Blackout ball so he was ready to go.  (Thanks David Haynes).  Louis isn’t currently bowling in a league, but he did sub last winter at Strike Zone over at Sunset Station.  The only plans he says for his winnings yesterday at Suncoast is to bowl more tournaments.  He wants to thank his friend Chris Sharpe for keeping him focused, to not get discouraged.  Louis currently works at Platinum motor CPRS for the last 3 yrs.  Louis has a message for all at the 9-Tap Tour“Thank you, 9-Tap Tour, for always keeping the shot tuff,  To win one is a big deal.”  Thank you, Louis that means a lot to us that y’all are enjoying the tournament.  His other hobbies, are loves playing golf and might celebrate by playing ____???

Our 2nd place finisher, just falling short by 33 pins just won a couple weeks ago at Gold Coast on 6/02/24.  CongratsBob Godden on making the top of the cash list in your last couple of outings.  Bob once again came in with a smile and glad to see everyone.  The set of lanes he was on in the last squad just happened to go down and we had to move that set to the end pair.  With even having to be moved ¾ of the way through the first game.  Bob managed to stay focused and keep rolling even with the breakdown.

Our 3rd place finisher only bowled in the 2nd squad and having a nice finish. Congrats, once again to Aaron McKinley for finishing in the top 3 again.  We know that win is coming, it’s just when it will show itself.  Aaron always comes in joking and in good spirits, even when he has a bad day rolling.

Way to go to all the cash list for making another outstanding day.  We once again show the diversity of HDCP making the list this week from 0 up to 67 pins.  Once again also bringing in another 7 new members to keep that number rolling.
