Suncoast
March 16th, 2024
Total Paid Out: $4,544.00
Outstanding time at Suncoast, Saturday was a very outstanding day at Suncoast. Once again Becky and her crew out did themselves keeping us rolling. We had another outstanding turn out and keep growing each week. With another 81 bowlers for the day, Bringing in another outstanding 16 new members signing up for the day. Our records are keeping intact each week thanks to all the great bowlers here in the area. Once again as all can see our side pots keep growing, our 9-Tap Jackpot has just hit its highest so far jumping from $2072.00 now sitting at a very nice $2255.00 for next week, Along with our Progressive Pot has just raised a little more to a nice $1222.00. Scoring is right in the ballpark for 9-Tap, as each week gives a little different challenge. We really enjoy all the great bowlers and positive attitude we have. This makes everyone better bowlers. HDCP’s are always nice to watch make the list each week, from 7 pins up to 67 pins is another great diversity making the cash list this week. We had some excitement Saturday at Suncoast for sure, as 3 members had a chance at the front 7 no taps. All missing the 4th shot then continuing to the 7th after that. We almost had the very first husband and wife duo going for the tie at front 7 no taps. With all that the front 7 is still in play, as we had a 3-way tie for the front 4 instead yesterday, way to go Greg Mamac, Mike Lucas (new member), and Alexis De Mesa on hitting the front 4 yesterday each getting $33. Once again, we crowned a new first time, Champion! This week was finally his time to shine, as this bowler joined the tour last August at the Gold Coast Opener. He has made our cash list a few times, but the win has alluded him until now. Congratulations, goes out to first time Champion Nick Foley; Saturday was surely your day to shine. He came in like always smiling and happy to be rolling the tour. Nick tightened up his Dexter SST-8’s, took out his bowling balls drill by our friend Keith over at Gold Coast K&K Pro shop. Using his Scorpion Low Flare, and his Storm Pitch Black. He had a slow start, but nice this was the Best ‘3 of 4’ so his low game doesn’t count for scoring. Nick starts off with a low of 176 scratch, and from there went no lower than a 233 to shoot a very nice 841 for the high of the day. He bowls at Suncoast on the Tuesday Nighters with his friends. Since joining the tour Nick says he has been out practicing on sport shots to improve his line, but only wanted that Champion shirt like his bowling Breh Joey Cazar. Nick had his girlfriend Stacy, his bowling Breh Joey Cazar, Joey’s brother Jason, Kevin Nurmi, and other teammates cheering him on. He has some plans for his winnings like buying more bowling balls and taking his wonderful girlfriend Stacy out for a nice dinner to offset her being angry with him for buying more bowling equipment, lol. Nick, says he loves the 9-Tap crew, even when he loses it’s a positive donation for all. Nick's other hobbies as Joey and him put it BOE is life, (which translates to Bowling is Life). Along with snowboarding, and even more bowling. Congrats again Nick it was diffinently your day. Our 2nd place finisher just joined the tour Saturday 3/16/24 and was referred to us by John Lee III. Way to go Gerry Matas on your 2nd place finish rolling a nice 787 just joining the 9-Tap Family. He joined with his wife Ernestine and said they both really enjoyed our tournament. Thank you for that, it means a lot to us. Rolling into 3rd place is our newest Floor director Jason Trevino. Congrats, Jason on you making the top 3 yesterday rolling a nice 776 in the last squad. Jason has made the cash list multiple times and still looking for that Champion spot. Keep it going Jason its coming we can see it. He has been a great addition to our crew. Keep up the hard work and positivity with bowling. |
