Sam's Town

Total Paid Out: $3,506.00
We always must give a big shout out to Tom and his crew for another great day! Once again, everyone has figured out the Progressive Pot with how it works. With that did take a little hit this last week, but very little. Our Progressive Pot went from $1068.00 and only dropped down to $1020.00 for this next Sat. at Suncoast. Now our 9-Tap Jackpot is holding up very well and giving you all a bigger and bigger pot each week. We have only had the front 3 and front 4 hit in the last month. This last Saturday the front 4 was the only pot to be hit all 3 squads by Ms. Ann McGee to win her another $100.00. So now our 9-Tap Jackpot grew again from it’s $2309.00 up to a very nice $2425.00 for this next coming Sat. at Suncoast. We had another close race for the top spot, with scoring right on track for our 9-Tap average for the day. Only having 2, 800’s shot all day and a low to cash tie at 759, up to 840. All the cashers were close in scoring, the 3rd & 4th place spot ended up with only a 1 pin difference. Along with first and second were only separated by 19 pins. Once again, the diversity of HDCP showed this last weekend from a high of 51 pins down to a -1 making the cash list. This week’s winner is now a 2-time Champion with us. He just ended up catching his brother to win his second title and get his red championship shirt. They have a little competitiveness with the two of them. It’s very interesting that now both have a win at Sam’s Town. His brother Joey Cazar’s first Championship was at Sam’s Town back in Sept. 2023 and Suncoast Jan. 2024. We Congratulate Jason Cazar for another outstanding day, and to hold on and come back after shooting a 164 in his 3rd game. This just happened to be his throw away game at our Best ‘3 of 4’ Format. Otherwise, Jason had a great day of bowling, and ended up just edging out the leader from the first squad by 19 pins to shoot a nice high for the day at 840. His best finish with us was back in March at The Orleans where he won his first title. Saturday, he came in tightening up his Dexter SST8’s, using his Purple Hammer which was drilled by Brian over at K&K at Suncoast. He does bowl quite a lot practicing, but also does league over at South Point on Tuesday night, and Thursdays at The Orleans. Jason intends on using his winnings for more motorcycle parts, maybe getting a new ball along with having a nice dinner. He had quite a few friends bowling not only with him, but on lanes next to him. They are all part of the tour, there was Anthony, Ray, Kevin, Griff, and not to leave out Alyssa cheering him on. Jason himself has been working for a cannabis production lab for the last 2 years. He left us a nice message for all of us at the 9-Tap Tour, “Thanks to the 9-Tap Tour for another great event.” Thank you, Jason that means a lot to us! Jason has some other hobbies he likes to do, which includes Kayaking, snowboarding, and PC gaming. Great job once again Jason on your 2nd career title with us. This last weekend our 2nd place finisher, just had a great finish 2 weeks ago at our Multi-Region. First after he qualified, in his first round he wasn’t too positive of his game to move on. He came to me saying his score wasn’t enough. I explained to him, ‘don’t think that way. You never know until we put out the results.’ Even after that he made it into the 2nd monster bracket and made his go of it with -1 HDCP. Congratulations, once again to Erek Hambrick for another outstanding finish. Rolling into 3rd place this week by 1 pin, is a member that’s been with the tour since 2015 and has 3 titles. Holding our convenient white shirt, working towards his Gold shirt. Congratulations, again to Norris Montague for making it back-to-back tournaments into to top 3. Norris made it all the way to the top 2 at the Multi-Region and was exhausted from the long day of rolling, which he ended up taking 2nd place. Remember, you won’t always win. It’s your finish and how you hold your head up. The tour is proof that anyone can make a go here with whatever HDCP or not you have. |
