Wrap Up

Another Record set by our members

First order of business is to thank Louis and Marshall along with his entire crew at Gold Coast, from the desk to the mechanics that were great at keeping us rolling.

As everyone saw and noticed, our bracket person was out sick which we should have said no brackets on Sunday.  We didn’t and gave it our best to keep the entire tournament rolling with brackets.  It was challenging to say the least, but we did manage to get it handled, and set another record this time for Bracket entries, those who got bracket money at the end we have it with your re-caps, along with scratch game and series.

We would like to thank you all for the outstanding turnout once again, even more so with only squads.  You all managed to set new records for entries each week, Las Vegas 9-Tap Tour at 81 paid entries for only 2 squads.  If we could have had a 3rd Squad, we can only imagine the number of total entries for the day.  Our Progressive Pot took a small hit on Sunday with the top 3 all being in for the $20 option.  The pot went from a nice $1691.00 to $1449.00 for the June 15th tournament at Pahrump Nugget.

As for the 9-Tap Jackpot we had one member get the front 2 but lost it on the 3rd frame.  We did have one other member hit the front 3, but they didn’t enter in the Jackpot.  Which made the 9-Tap Jackpot take a leap from it’s nice $1667.00 to a very nice $1959.00 for Pahrump.

This week to say the least was outstanding, and challenging.  With new members staying at around an average of 7 a week to old members returning.  Our active memberships have now reached to over 392 active members to date, with even more old members returning in the next few weeks.  Our HDCP making the list once again shows how Diverse it is to make the cash list from 69 pins down to 2 pins.

This coming event at the Pahrump Nugget is always a fun one, with this being on Father’s Day weekend we will be randomly giving away a ball to one of our members thanks to Storm.  You will need to have bowled in the tournament to win.

Let’s get onto the fun side, our winners.  This last Sunday was interesting as our winner is an old member joining the tour back in March of 2016.  Bowling with the tour up until 2018, he returned to join us at our opener back in Aug. of 2023 and has only bowled in 3 tournaments since his return.  This is a great accomplishment for him as he hasn’t won a tournament with us until this past Sunday at Gold Coast.  As we let everyone know, it’s not your HDCP that makes the win, it’s how you roll for the day.

Congratulations, to Bob Godden for overcoming the challenge this last Sunday rolling the high series for the day of 818.  Since returning to the tour and reverification of average, he only has 4 sticks of HDCP.  Bob managed to keep his head up and just roll his game, he did have some Brooklyn strikes in there to help along the way that were a welcome site.  Along with a few that fell his way to move him to the top.  Even with as long as Bob has been with the tour, he has never had a better finish than 4th place until Sunday.  He came in laced up his bowling shoes, took out his Storm ZEN U.  The nice pro shop over at South Point gets a shout out from Bob to the guys in the shop.  As he says with his winnings Bob plans on rolling in more tournaments.  He rolls on the Vegas Doubles on Sundays at Gold Coast.  He wants to send a special thanks out to the entire 9-Tap Tour crew and all the other competitors, plus adding what a great turnout.  “Thank you Bob we all appreciate the great comments.”

Once again, we had a brand-new member that we spoke with a week prior to about the tour.  He is stationed in San Diego, Ca at the Naval Station. (Thank you for your service)  Congratulations, to Kyshawn Smith, on not only rolling in your first tournament with us but having only 2 pins HDCP making it to the top and placing in 2nd as well.  Kyshawn rolled a nice 787 at his first go with us.  He came in knowing what he was getting into from learning about us the prior week.  He is a joy to speak with and be around, welcome to the tour Kyshawn

Taking the 3rd spot the last Sunday won a title not that long ago in March.  He only missed the 2nd place spot by 3 pins.  He’s made the cash list 6 times now and 1 being the Championship.  Way to go once again to Jason Cazar for your outstanding rolling and always being you.  Great person and fun to be around.
