Fun Day at The Orleans 

Thank you all who could make it out on Sunday, wish more of you could have made it.  It’s always a challenge around the area with so many tournaments to pick from.   

 

Sunday was a very eventful day to say the least, Our 9-Tap Jackpot that has been growing and was achieved this last Sunday at The Orleans.  Our pot had grown to a very nice $2032.00, our long-time veteran of the tour Ann McGee came out on a tear hitting the front 4 in game 2 and didn’t stop there.  She made it to the front six and rolled for number 7, coming in a little high left the 4-9 split but wasn’t done there!  A little pin action helped her out as the 9 pin was knocked out to give Ann the outstanding front 7 No Taps to win the 80% and take home $1625.00.  Congratulations Ann, that isn’t an easy task to accomplish. 

Our cash list this week was full of Veteran tour members and one newer member just joining the 9-Tap family back in Sept. 2023. 

She has only bowled in 5 of our tournaments since joining in Sept. but has made the cash list 3 of those 5 times.  Her best finish was last week at Sam’s Town bowl, her lead was cut in the 3rd squad and dropped her into 3rd place after she left.  All of us let her know her win is coming.  Congratulations, goes to Martha Williams for the outstanding comeback win this Sunday taking 1st for $652.00.  Martha lacing up her bowling shoes and using her Black Widow 2.0, which was drilled by our Old Friend Kieth over at K&K pro shop in Gold Coast Bowl.  Martha bowls in 2 leagues Friday and Sunday at South Point Bowl.  She has some plans for her winnings from Sunday, that’s to get the new NU Hammer because blue is her favorite color.  With Martha, as always,is her wonderful mom and Andrew King (also a member of the tour) encouraging Martha through text messages from home while she was rolling.  Of course, like most, Martha was nervous the first day she joined and wasn’t thrilled about 9-Tap tournaments, but we have her hooked and she loves it.  She sends out a huge thank you to Andrew King for helping coach her along the way.  Martha has been with MP Materials for 3 yrs. now working away.  Her major hobbies of course are bowling, Traveling, and going shopping.  Congrats, again Martha! 

Our 2nd place finish had a very outstanding day, Not only winning the 9-Tap Jackpot also finishing in 2nd place.  Ann McGee took the cake this last Sunday not only winning the $1625 Jackpot, then add her second-place prize of $336.00 for a total day of $1961.00. 

Along with the other 2, our tour veteran Dawn Niino out did Don Nagamine to make the board last week finishing 5th place. She came in again to capture 3rd place this week, your win is coming Dawn, we can see it.  Great to see an all-Ladies top 3 finish!
