Santa Fe
Nov. 5th, 2023
Total Paid Out: $2,175.00
Very interesting day at Santa Fe! We would like to thank Kathy and her crew at Santa Fe for helping to make our Tournament go as smoothly as possible. It was a great time at Santa Fe bowl, we saw new faces and a few old members return to the tour. Our 9-Tap family is definitely fun to be around. We continue our record for new membership, signing up 9 new members just yesterday along with 17 new members last week at the Pahrump Nugget for our upcoming Veteran’s day Tournament. This week’s winner, strangely enough is the same winner from our last visit to Santa Fe Bowl. Tena Dunn and her husband just finished moving here to the Vegas Area from California. They have had some long weeks working on their new place and moving in. As most know, Tena and her husband Dave joined the tour at our Opener back in August at Gold Coast. Tena’s best finish before this one was Oct 8th, 2023, when she shot an outstanding 796 for the day almost 1 month ago right here at Santa Fe. Yesterday Tena stunned us all by coming through and shooting a very nice 773 to lead the field from the first squad and hold the lead for the day. Tena was wearing her Pink and Black Dexter shoes and rolling her Storm Nova drilled by Andy Neeman from Surf bowl in Oceanside, CA. Tena now bowls on the Sunday Night Keglers over at Suncoast lanes. What does Tena want to do with her winnings, besides buying some new ‘Undies’ (lol, thanks for sharing Tena), she would like to bowl more tournaments. Once again Tena wants to thank her best friend and husband Dave for being always by her side. She also wants to send a very special thank you to the entire 9-Tap Crew, for as she says, ‘Holding such a well-run tournament!’ Thank you so much for your kind words, as it means the world to all of us. Tena of course didn’t expect to win, was just happy to have fun being at the 9-Tap tournament. Her other interests or hobbies are crafting, crocheting, and bookkeeping. Tena, now with her Second Championship, just earn a new Championship shirt which is now Red. ‘Congrats, Tena on your second tour champion win.’ Here we are onto our Second-place finisher Joseph Lawson, who just joined the 9-Tap family yesterday at Santa Fe. Joseph not expecting to win, or place asked us before rolling, ‘how does he know where or how the standings work?’ We explained how the cut line shows who is ahead for making the Cash list along with how close you can come to just missing the cut. Joseph came out rolling, making Second with his 747 in the first squad and held second to finish the day. Our Third-place finisher, which is also a Brand-new Tour member. John Dorsett, finishing strong for the day rolling a very respectable 735, just falling short of second by 12 pins to Joseph Lawson. |
